I had the pleasure of talking with August from Transracial Adoptees of Philly (https://www.instagram.com/qtra.philly/) about the iconic franchise of Star Trek, and specifically about Worf, the Klingon. I learned so much about Worf and his representation for transracial adoptees. I hope you got as much out of this conversation as I did. Live long and prosper, hyperfixation nation.

CW: Brief and unspecific mentions of sexual assault from 9:45 - 13:33
This episode is all about the effervescent, iconic Charlie McDonnell (aka Charlieissocoollike). She's had such a positive influence on my life, and I'm so happy to see her creating again. I can't wait to see where she's headed!

8: Gacha or gambling?
I'm getting a tiny bit controversial this week, digging into the good, bad, and ugly of gacha games and why I play them anyway (responsibly). I recently entered the Path to Nowhere fandom, and I'm utterly obsessed. So, Chief - will you join me in ending Mania in DisCity?

7: Nostalgia is overrated (sometimes)
Fandom isn't always about things we've loved all of our lives. Sometimes it's about discovering new things and falling in love in a brand new way for the first time. I rounded up some of the new music I've been enjoying for this episode and curated a playlist for your enjoyment after you've listened. Check it out (https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2_fY3Zzt6aN-uUMEyGvljR2L_wgNnHkB), and let me know what you're listening to these days!

6: Always trust a smiling cat
Me and my lovely fiance get into the universally-loved social simulation game: Animal Crossing. We chat all the versions, memories from childhood, our favorite villagers, and get real meta about What Is Animal Crossing All About Anyway? Enjoy!

5: Vonisnotonfire
Grab your sharpies and draw on those cat whiskers Phanimals. I'm digging into the cringe of vulnerability and self-actualization that is being a fan of Daniel Howell (aka Danisnotonfire) for 15 years. From "Hello internet!" to "We're all doomed!" I'm in this Dan Howell shit for life.

I'm marrying my love of music and anime and breaking down my top 10 favorite anime opening theme songs. I had so much fun with this one, and I made a playlist for you to listen along with the episode. 1: So much (for) fandom
Hey Overcast Kids! For the first episode, I thought I'd stay true to my roots as an emo elder. Consider this a Fall Out Boy primer, which is perfectly fitting as my very first fandom. Enjoy! Website Credits:
