[…] So that was pretty cool. We got deployed just like the USAR teams do, the task force teams, it was basically that kind of setup. We ended up staying in Kenner, Louisiana, which is like a high school. We took that over and they feed you and all that stuff. And then we would go into the city, set up our hazmat site, and then they would go into the wards and do what they had to do, come out, clean them off. That was an amazing experience. And it was cool. It was like a It was probably a group of maybe 12 of us. We set up our shop underneath because it was freaking hot down there. So we found an old gas station with the canopy, and we set up underneath by the pumps to stay out of the sun, which is kind of smart. […]
