John McGowan grew up in the small farming town of Tom’s Brook, VA. John joined the Navy in 2014 and spent 4 years as a Master-at-Arms in Bangor, Washington. After he got out he started in the trades, owned his own company, and is now a manager for a landscaping company.

Episode 01: Ryan Hanes, US Air Force
A 13-year veteran of the fire service, Ryan spent 4 years active duty as a Crash-Rescue Firefighter in the USAF. After separating in 2013, he quickly transitioned to a municipal firefighter in Eastern North Carolina before heading to the Charlotte area where he now serves as a Captain for a growing suburban department. Ryan has been married to his wife, Caitlyn, for two years and has a 11-month old son. Aside from being able to grow a glorious mustache and intimidate people with his unenthusiastic facial expressions, he enjoys drinking cold ones, playing hockey and spending time in the mountains.
