Ghost Boat Adventures explores the strange, the unexplained, and the unforgettable along the rugged coast of British Columbia and beyond.
Join Captain Jordan Reid as we investigate paranormal encounters, First Nations stories, Bigfoot, UFOs, ghost ships, wilderness adventures, and true mysteries.
Featuring documentaries, interviews, Friday Night Frights, The Captain's Log, and real expeditions into some of Canada's most mysterious places.
Some legends are told. Others are lived.
Road to Halloween continues as Ghost Boat Adventures heads deep into British Columbia’s legendary Othello Tunnels.
These spectacular tunnels and canyons near Hope, BC have a history almost as dramatic as the landscape itself — and movie fans may recognize the area as a filming location for First Blood, starring Sylvester Stallone as Rambo.
Jordan “Gwa Gwa” Reid and Karen explore the tunnels and surrounding wilderness while looking at the legends, strange stories and very real dangers of the area. Cougars can stalk people without ever being seen, and we discuss what to watch for and what to do if you encounter one. Bears, falling rocks and sudden flash floods are among the other real wilderness hazards surrounding the adventure.
Then there are the other inhabitants: Sasquatch, ghosts, goblins, vampires and zombie dogs.
Karen even channels Gandalf for her own “You shall not pass!” moment as we compare goblins with the Orcs of The Lord of the Rings.
And among all the monsters and mayhem, Jordan’s “ancient eagle eyes” somehow spot one of the tiniest creatures imaginable — a real live shrew hiding beneath the leaves, small enough to disappear underneath a single leaf.
From Hollywood history and Sasquatch country to cougars, wilderness hazards, movie references and Halloween fun, we left no stone unturned at the Othello Tunnels.
Some legends are told. Others are lived.

Gwa Gwa Storyworks Inc.
What is it really like to drive the Coquihalla Highway in the middle of a BC winter storm? And what happens when the story moves from dangerous roads to strange lights in the sky?
Captain Jordan, also known as Gwa Gwa — “Come Out From Underneath” — a Heiltsuk elder, shaman and Master Mariner, shares his firsthand experiences driving tour buses through British Columbia's notorious Coquihalla Highway — the road made famous by the television series Highway Thru Hell.
From Hope to Merritt and on toward Sun Peaks, Jordan remembers whiteouts, brutal mountain weather, steep descents, snowplows, wrecks, breakdowns and the people who kept this dangerous highway moving.
But there is another side to this journey.
The region has long fascinated Jordan because of stories involving UFOs, unexplained lights and alien encounters. During one of his trips to Sun Peaks, Jordan experienced an encounter of his own — an experience he describes as an alien abduction.
This is not just a story about a highway. It's a firsthand journey through extreme winter driving, unexplained encounters and memories from a lifetime spent travelling British Columbia.
Some legends are told. Others are lived.

SASQUATCH: They Laughed Until They Saw It Too
They laughed when I said I’d seen a Sasquatch—until it stepped out of the trees and my sister screamed.
Filmed on location in Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, Captain Jordan Reid, a Heiltsuk First Nations storyteller and Master Mariner, recounts three personal encounters from his childhood around Bella Bella.
Hear about a close-range Sasquatch sighting witnessed by others, a frightening scream and shaking tree that sent the family scrambling for their boat, and a midnight visitor followed by a giant footprint beside an unexpected dollar.
These are personal recollections and interpretations, not claims of verified Bigfoot evidence.
Our apologies for the overhead aircraft noise. We understand there may have been an incident nearby, but we cannot confirm what happened.
