This pod talks movie news, new movies, old movies, classic hidden gems, cult films, television, streaming media, and all things motion entertainment. Yep, if it's a moving picture of some sort, on any platform or media, Brandon and Steve will talk about it.
Steve and Brandon watch two 90's comedies that were absolutely horrible to get through, bio-dome and Rocketman (1997). Steve talks about Naked Gun and Freaky Tales, while Brandon saw a all time great so-bad-it's-good movie in theaters. Lots of great television releases this month, but things get quieter in theaters. The upcoming TV shows look great.

GTV Episode 11 - Feline Foul Play
Steve and Brandon both bring wildly different movies featuring talking household pets to the conversation. One is a Neo-noir detective murder mystery with themes of eugenics, animal experimentation, and visceral nightmares. The other is a family comedy about dog and cat super-spies stopping a plot for world domination. Guess which one is animated, and which one is live action?

GTV Episode 9 - In Space, No One Can Hear You Yawn
A movie about gamblers with shockingly little gambling, and the first (of many) bad Alien movies. This week we're talking Hard Eight by Paul Thomas Anderson and Alien³ by David Fincher. Hard Eight needed way more Philip Seymour Hoffman, and we are lucky David Fincher was allowed to make more movies after Alien³. Brandon watched some old favorites, and we go on at length about the state of modern animated movies and television. Spoilers, movies are doing poorly, while animated television is thriving.

We're cruising across America with two debut films by beloved American directors, Blood Simple by the Coen Brothers, and Bottle Rocket by Wes Anderson. Even the best filmmakers don't necessarily have strong starts. We went to the movies to see Mickey 17, and Brandon watched an eccentric animated french film. Steve wants to hype Paradise and Daredevil. Brandon doesn't have time to watch TV.

GTV Ep 5 - O Holy Mess
A Sexy Snowman, Santacidal Space Men, and a bad father is rewarded for being terrible! Nosferatu is a wonderful gothic nightmare, Sonic 3 is another gift to fans, and Kraven surprises with being a decent movie. 90's movies are back in style and a trio of Christmas movies subvert our expectations.

Jackpot
And of course, our homework. Rebel Moon Part 1 for Brandon, and Viy and The Tale of Tsar Saltan for Steve. Who doesn't love a joyless science fiction Snyder sad-fest vs. Soviet-era 60s fantasy propaganda films?
