Hey, everyone. This is Niko Fontaine, host of the 'Ghosts, Etc.' podcast. I wanted to take a moment to speak directly to you, our dedicated listeners, about something important.
First, I have some difficult news to share. Our podcast will be taking a brief pause. Recently, my family and I experienced a significant loss as family member has passed away after a long battle with addiction. This has been an incredibly tough time for us, and we need to take a step back to grieve and support each other.
Addiction is a painful and challenging journey, not only for those who suffer from it but also for their loved ones. It's something that affects so many families, and often, it can feel isolating and hopeless. But I want you to know, you're not alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, please seek help. There are resources available, and there are people who care and want to support you. One such resource is the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). They have a national helpline that offers free, confidential support and information 24/7. You can reach them at 1-800-662-HELP (4357) or visit their website at samhsa.gov.
We'll be back with new episodes soon. In the meantime, take care of yourselves and your loved ones. And remember, it's okay to ask for help.
Thank you for understanding and for your continued support. We’ll talk again soon.
