Ghosts, I Guess?

About Ghosts, I Guess?

Welcome to “Ghosts, I Guess?”, where two Canadian ladies get together to talk about weird supernatural shit that doesn’t seem to have a place in normal conversation. We talk about our own experiences, invite other guests to share theirs, and at the end of every episode we will discuss how much our conversation and stories convinced us… or didn’t… to believe in the paranormal. So… do we believe in Ghosts? Hard to say, but please join us as we talk about it anyway! We want to share your ghost stories too! Please reach out at ghostsiguess@gmail.com to have your story featured in one of our regular Ghost Compilation episodes! Hosted on Acast. Our Flabbers Have Been Ghosted

Following Kim's exploration into the Ouija Board, Rachel dives into the definitions and distinctions between demons and evil spirits, and the historical context of these beliefs. The conversation culminates in a reflection on the universal themes of good and evil, the nature of spirituality, and the human tendency to create narratives around these concepts. Spoiler Alert: Two hours of chatting, and we still don't know what we believe... Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy (https://acast.com/privacy) for more information.

The Ouija Board: Ghosted by Good Press?

If you follow us on social media, you’ll know we recently asked if we should use a Ouija board, and, well… let’s just say the response was overwhelming. The general consensus? “Girl, is you dumb?” Ouija boards have been a staple of horror movies and ghost stories for decades, but Kim started wondering—are they really exclusively bad? If they truly connect with spirits, why do people assume only negative entities come through? Is this reputation deserved, or is there more to the story? In this episode, we’re diving deep into the mystery and history of the Ouija board, tackling questions like: •What exactly is a Ouija board, and where did it come from? •How does it work (if it works at all)? •What’s the proof—both scientific and experiential? •And most importantly, is it really all bad? Or is its terrifying reputation based on something else entirely? Join us on this episode as we investigate the spooky, the skeptical, and everything in between. *Warning: As proud Canadians, we do get a bit salty in this episode about our current frenemy to the South* Keywords: Ouija board, spiritualism, ghost stories, paranormal, Canadian, haunted experiences, cultural significance, history, podcast, supernatural, beliefs, Satanic Panic, spirituality, ideometer effect, personal experiences, church influence, listener stories, consciousness Hosted on Acast. What is the significance of Samhain, and how the hell do you pronounce it? Look no further, this episode has all of these answers and more to get you in the halloween spirit as we gear up for the spookiest time of year. Sneak Preview of Killer Quotes from this Episode: "His name is Boo." "I have lumbar lordosis." "You better participate or you'll die." Absolute Proof of Life After Death

Life after death is possible, and ghosties are real - and we've got the science to back it up! In this engaging conversation, Kim and Rachel delve into the intriguing topics of consciousness, life after death, and the scientific exploration (and proof!) of the paranormal. They discuss the Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies (not to be confused with Deuce Bigalow, Male Gigolo), the implications of an essay contest on life after death, and the nature of consciousness itself. The conversation also touches on the connection between consciousness and the Earth, the Akashic record (what IS that?), and not just the potential for life after death, but the probability for life after death, all while maintaining a light-hearted and humorous tone. paranormal, consciousness, life after death, Bigelow Institute, scientific evidence, Akashic record, ghost stories, spirituality, neuroscience, psychic phenomena Hosted on Acast. Episode 13: Pressed By The Black

In this episode, Kim quite literally walks Rachel through an experience known, at least in her part of the world, as a visit from the "Old Hag". While various cultures call it different things: "Jinn", "A Witch Riding", or being "Pressed By The Black", one thing remains the same throughout... Being 'Hagged' is a bone chilling phenomenon that approximately 30% of you will experience in your lifetime, and there are THREE critical things you need to know in order to escape. Tune in to find out (...but maybe not right before bed...). Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy (https://acast.com/privacy) for more information.

   Episode 12: N'awlins

Trigger Warning: This episode contains potentially distressing material including violence and trauma connected to racism. Join us this episode as Rachel takes a deep dive into Haunted N’awlins (New Orleans)! Not only do we routinely butcher several American accents, we also cover everything (poorly) from geography all the way to string theory in this vibrant chat about ghosts, vampires (?), and haunted physical locations. Note: this episode was recorded many moons ago (and at least one eclipse ago), and in an ADHD haze, Kim vowed to do three things immediately following this recording. It should come as a shock to no one, that these things have not been done. Stay transparent, blessed, and messy ❤️ Check our Instagram @ghosts.I.guess to follow along with the psychic test! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy (https://acast.com/privacy) for more information.

Episode 1: Welcome to "Ghosts, I Guess?"

On this first episode of "Ghosts, I Guess?", Kim and Rachel fight over whether or not cashews are a completely suitable replacement for pine nuts (they’re not), but most importantly we talk about why we are doing this - to share ghost stories, DUH, and what we want out of “Ghosts, I Guess?”. Join us as we start to share some of the spooky dooky things we have experienced (Kim’s Near Death Experience at Thunderland Amusement Park & Rachel teases supernatural happenings at her old schoolhouse in Northern Ontario), and let us know if you think Kim’s psychic test really deserved the abysmal rating Rachel gave her. We want to share your ghost stories too! Please reach out at ghostsiguess@gmail.com to have your story featured in one of our regular Ghost Compilation episodes! Hosted on Acast.
