[…] That heat would also damage it. So even if it was like ignoring poor preservations, poor places to have your film being stored, just showing it would damage it. Yeah, it would. I think a lot of people know the image of film burning, but they don't know why. But yeah, that's another reason that digital was adopted later, is that anything mechanical is going to present problems. There were failures in cameras. There would be hairs getting caught in the gate as they were shooting things. And then when you would project them later, those projectors could break. And if they stopped and that bulb sat on the film too long, it would burn right through it. […]
