S4 -Ep 10 - Girl, Check Your Heart (Season Finale)

In the final episode of season 4, Girl, Check Your Heart, Janique invites listeners into a powerful and necessary heart check. With Proverbs 23:4 Psalm 139:23-24 as the anchors, this episode explores the importance of guarding your heart, examining what has been shaping your thoughts and desires, and allowing God to reveal what needs healing, surrender, and realignment. Before stepping into a new season, we must first ask God to search what is already within us. This episode is a reminder that peace, joy, and clarity begin in the heart. Key Takeaways A heart check is not condemnation, it is wisdom and protection. What fills your heart will eventually flow through your words, choices, and reactions. Guarding your heart means being intentional about what and who gets access to you. You cannot fully step into a new season while holding onto what God told you to release. Before asking God for more, ask Him to search your heart first. Anchor Scriptures Proverbs 4:23 - “Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Psalm 37:4 - Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 139:23-24 - “Search me, O God, and know my heart…” Matthew 12:33 - “A tree is identified by its fruit.” Ephesians 2:8-9 - “ God saved you by his grace when you believed…” Homework Heart Check - Lord, what is happening in my heart right now that I need to acknowledge, surrender, or heal? *Share this episode with a friend and leave a review! *Support the Girl, Relax and Trust God Podcast - https://tinyurl.com/SupportGRTG (https://tinyurl.com/SupportGRTG) Let’s Connect! S4 Ep 9 - Girl, Life is Too Short for the Drama

In this episode, Girl, Life is Too Short for the Drama, Janique dives into Psalm 39 and unpack what it means to guard your mouth, surrender anxious thoughts, and stay focused on what God has called you to do. She talks about how easy it is to create imaginary conversations, rehearse arguments in our minds, and become distracted by things that may never even happen. Using David’s honesty in Psalm 39, we are reminded that life is short, our time is valuable, and unnecessary distractions can pull us away from purpose. God calls us to bring our frustrations to Him instead of reacting in our flesh. This episode is a reminder to watch your words, walk in obedience, and keep your eyes on the assignment God has given you. Key Takeaways Guard your mouth and be mindful of your words. Stop rehearsing conversations and creating narratives in your mind. Bring your worries, frustrations, and emotions to God in prayer. Life is short, don’t waste time on unnecessary distractions. Obedience keeps you aligned with God’s purpose. Your hope must remain in God, focus on the assignment God has given you. Anchor Scriptures Psalm 39 Philippians 4:8 2 Corinthians 10:5 Homework What distraction or heart posture do you need to surrender this week so you can walk in obedience and stay focused on God’s assignment for you? *Share this episode with a friend and leave a review! *Support the Girl, Relax and Trust God Podcast - https://tinyurl.com/SupportGRTG (https://tinyurl.com/SupportGRTG) Let’s Connect! S4 - Ep 8 - Girl, Don't Miss the Life God Gave You

In this episode, Girl, Don’t Miss the Life God Gave You, Janique talks about burnout—what it really looks like and how it quietly shows up in our lives long before we reach a breaking point. After reflecting on a simple but meaningful Easter with her family, Janique shares how easy it is to get caught up in doing, striving, and carrying too much—only to realize we’re missing the very life God gave us to enjoy. She walks through the early stages of burnout—the need to prove yourself, working harder, and neglecting your needs—and what scripture says about each. Through biblical truth and real-life insight, this episode reminds us that we don’t have to earn our worth, overwork to be valuable, or neglect ourselves to be strong. If you’ve been feeling exhausted, disconnected, or like you’re doing the most but still empty, this episode will help you come back into alignment with God, embrace rest, and begin to experience life again. Key Takeaways You don’t have to prove yourself Working harder is not the solution to burnout Neglecting your needs is not strength Burnout is a slow drift—not a sudden collapse You were created to experience life, not just manage it Alignment with God restores what burnout drains Anchor Scriptures Matthew 11:28-30 -“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest…” Mark 6:31- “Then Jesus said, ‘Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile….” 1 Timothy 6:17- “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud…Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.” Homework Pay attention to what your body, your mind, and your spirit have been trying to tell you and ask yourself: what is one small, intentional thing you can do this week to delight in the Lord and enjoy the life He’s given you? *Share this episode with a friend and leave a review! *Support the Girl, Relax and Trust God Podcast - https://tinyurl.com/SupportGRTG (https://tinyurl.com/SupportGRTG) Let’s Connect!
