Episode 101 | You're Allowed to Have a Hobby as an Adult
When did being an adult become so damn serious?
In the first official episode of the new Girls on the Rocks era, we’re talking about something I think way too many of us forget to make room for as we get older: having hobbies.
I’m telling the story of how I found my way back to dance after years of not really having something that was just mine—from dancing as a kid, to losing that part of myself, to randomly seeing Diva Dance on Instagram and deciding to walk into a class by myself.
And somehow, one dance class turned into friendships, new experiences, training opportunities, a new community, and even a part-time job at the studio.
But this episode isn’t really just about dance. It’s about remembering that you’re allowed to have interests that don’t make you money, advance your career, improve your body, or turn into content.
You don’t have to be good at something. You don’t have to do it with your friends. You don’t have to monetize it. You don’t even have to know where it’s going.
Sometimes you just need something that makes you feel like YOU.
Because I don’t want to get so wrapped up in being somebody’s girlfriend, somebody’s wife, somebody’s mom, somebody’s employee, somebody’s whatever, that I forget that I’m also just Taylor.
So let’s talk about getting our girlhood back, finding the things we loved before we cared whether we were good at them, and giving ourselves permission to simply do shit because it makes us happy.
Plus, we’re getting into Pop Culture Corner because obviously…I have shit to say.
And yes, the slightly nostalgic, low-fi visual vibe is intentional. Consider this your early-2000s home-video version of grown-woman girlhood.

Episode 100 | Welcome to the New Girls on the Rocks
Girls on the Rocks is BACK—and she’s had a little rebrand.
In this episode, I’m officially welcoming you into the new era of GOTR and catching you up on what’s changed, what’s staying, and why I decided it was time to do things a little differently.
This isn’t just a podcast about being single, dating, or pop culture anymore. It’s about figuring out how to be a grown woman without completely losing the girl you’ve always been—while talking about life, love, friendships, confidence, career, nostalgia, pop culture, and all the wonderfully messy stuff in between.
Think of me as your Zillennial Sister: here to talk shit, share my experiences, ask the questions we’re all secretly asking ourselves, and figure this whole adulthood thing out right alongside you.
Same girl. New era. Same questionable decisions.
Welcome back to Girls on the Rocks.
Taylor celebrates a DIY car upgrade, we reminisce about Dolly Parton’s unforgettable impact on generations of fans, Snoop Dogg searches for an ice cream taster, Kacey Musgraves takes a seat on some VERY questionable disco balls, and Zara Larsson calls out the “Best New Artist” label. 😂
Another chaotic episode of Girls on Rocks you definitely don’t want to miss!
