Madison Methodist Church recently got to celebrate their first worship service in their new home, a beautifully restored stable! Madison has gotten to see the Lord work in so many ways, from starting with about a week's notice back in 2023, the membership of Madison has said "yes" when the Lord has spoken. Rev. Matthew Mitchell joined in to what God had already put into motion at the beginning of 2024 and has seen so much goodness in what is happening in Madison, GA! There has been provision that could not have been expected, generosity that has been unprecedented, and a people who are walking faithfully where God is leading into Morgan County! Pastor of Clarksville - Global Methodist Voices - Ross Wheeler
Likely an unintentional misprint in the local newspaper, Ross Wheeler has been named Pastor of Clarksville. Pastor Ross, Ross, Rocky, etc., gets the joy of pastoring Clarksville First Methodist Church in Clarksville, GA, just miles from where he grew up. This has created a unique opportunity to engage with people he has known his whole life while also reaching new individuals as Clarksville, GA grows in this season. Pastor Ross has had a couple of unique opportunities that the Lord has orchestrated, the first being the engagement with the local radio station, which includes a weekly show focusing on live on-air devotionals filled with questions from co-hosts and listeners. The second is creating a tool following Annual Conference 2026, where he took the 3-Circle Gospel and created a disc that could be a part of people's lives that would help with evangelism and telling the stories of Jesus!Hear how Pastor Ross takes the role of being the Pastor to the City so intentionally in daily life and the joy he has in serving near his hometown. Is It Well With Your Soul? Charge Conferences - Global Methodist Voices - Steve Dodson
Charge Conferences have gotten a bad name over the years, and it is time to reclaim that Holy Conferencing, Connectional living that Charge Conference allows each year. Rev. Steve Dodson, Lead Pastor of Thomson First Methodist Church and one of the 4 Presiding Elders, shares some of the resources and changes coming to this year's Charge Conferences. There will be a gauge of the hearts of clergy in this season, meaningful help in the Nominations Process, and a way to celebrate what is happening within local churches just in the initial reporting that is required.
