The Family of God is a Family for Real? - Global Methodist Voices - Dr. Rich Griffith
<p>"Family" has become to mean husband, wife, and 2.5 kids in society these days, but according to Dr. Rich Griffith (and the Bible), that is not a full understanding of the Gospel, or the ways that Jesus defines family. Author, Professor, Pastor, Speaker, and Parent, Dr. Griffith talks this time about how churches can really begin to reimagine "church" as a family, which makes a lot of sense as it is the title of his most recent book! What would the church look like if it embraced more intergenerational ministry where children sat with people who were their grandparents' age and learned to worship? What would it be if we actually showed up for each other, if we treated church members as family members? Czech Republic isn't in North Georgia... - Global Methodist Voices - Robin Parr
<p>The Czech Republic may not be in North Georgia, but North Georgia GMC has been to the Czech Republic. Beginning with summer mission camps to bring the Gospel to the Czech Republic, a relationship was formed with the Methodists in the very center of Europe. Rev. Robin Parr was asked if she wanted to go, and the Holy Spirit slowly changed her heart to spend and serve a local church in the Czech Republic in 2026, preaching for about 3 months, meeting with college students, bringing hope to the sick, and encouraging the pastors that are serving in churches filled with our brothers and sisters in Christ! It's an option for other pastors to step into heading into 2027 and possibly beyond. Is God calling you to the Czech Republic? Reach out to Rev. Robin Parr to see how you can either help run a summer week of mission or spend a few months bringing the Gospel to the English-speaking congregation!</p>
