<p>&#39;The Future of Global Nomad Education: How do we prepare learners for jobs - and futures- that don’t yet exist?&#39;, led by <a href="https://www.carmelafleury.com/"><u>Carmela Fleury </u></a>and <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeneengacek/%20/t%20_blank"><u>Jeneen Gacek</u></a></p><p> </p><p>In this session, Jeneen and Carmela will introduce the Global Nomad Diploma, designed for forward-thinking students, parents, schools, and universities. This session will explore how knowing oneself becomes the foundation for self-validation, resilience, and lifelong learning.</p><p>Jeneen and Carmela were co-organizers of the first Global Education Meet-Up, a pioneering conference earlier this year which united educators to co-create a common accreditation for progressive and alternative schools.  </p><p>Carmela is a global thought leader on the future of education and author of <a href="https://carmelafleury.medium.com/creating-a-global-educational-system-baa6a27bf694">Creating a Global Nomad Educational System</a>. She is the founder and host of the <a href="https://open.spotify.com/show/1jWsBaWLW3sYFWiZCLEPhT"><u>Global Nomad Parent</u></a> podcast. </p><p>Carmela’s mission began when her eight-year-old son was diagnosed with ADHD and denied admission to an international school unless she agreed to medicate him. She shares this deeply personal journey in <a href="https://medium.com/@carmelafleury/a-love-letter-to-my-young-son-june-2a844f2a8e87">A Love Letter to My Young Son, June</a>. Refusing to accept a system that pathologized difference, she became an advocate for inclusive, flexible, and personalized education - especially for neurodiverse students.</p><p>Jeneen holds an MA in Transformative Learning from Antioch University, along with advanced studies at the Graduate Institute for Transformative Learning. She facilitates workshops for parents and teens, hosts community events, and speaks internationally on mindful parenting, self-directed learning, conscious leadership, and transformative communities.</p><p>In 2023, Jeneen and her daughter co-authored <a href="https://www.amazon.com/New-Paradigm-Education-Rising-Change-Makers/dp/1925919528">A New Paradigm of Education</a>. <p>Dr Kevin House is the Group Education Futures Architect at Education in Motion (EiM), he steers the research, development, growth, and transformation potential of future-focused innovative education models across numerous global contexts. He is an Associate Professor in Practice at Durham University, and a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and the Royal Society of Arts. In these roles he contributes to academic thought leadership, educator professional development, and acts as a global advocate for educational change and innovation.<br>He has spent almost thirty years in global education experience in educational leadership, learning innovation, and transformational change management. He has worked in school systems in Africa, Europe and Asia. More recently he held a senior position with International Baccalaureate working on curriculum design and policy before joining the Dulwich College International group. Kevin develops evidence-informed breakthrough educational offerings, and supports the building of educator capabilities to enable Groupwide improvements in learning.<br></p>
