Episode 3 with Dr. Shalini Lal
<p>In this podcast, Dr. Shalini Lal speaks about entering an era of exponential change which will require creating new organizational forms, and huge shifts in the kinds of cultures and leadership that can support rapid change. The mechanisms for innovation transformation that organisations are going to need over the next few decades are going to be of a completely different magnitude and order from anything they've seen in the past. Because of the pandemic, organizations almost overnight were forced to work differently from anything that they had ever experienced, and for the most part were quite surprised by how well parts of it worked. Shalini also speaks about whether OD is doing the right work and where we should be concentrating our energy now. Shalini also gives some insights into what is unique about OD work in India.</p> <p>Dr. Shalini Lal is an organizational thought leader, based in Delhi. Recently she founded Unqbe — an education and advisory firm helping leaders understand and prepare themselves for “The Future of Work”. She has devoted herself to the field of OD as a researcher, a practitioner, a scholar and as a consultant, bringing her many years of experience in both Indian and global organisations, including as Director of HR for Deutsche Bank. She has a PHD in Organisation Science from UCLA and is a Global Fellow at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Shalini is a frequent contributor to HT Mint, Business World, and Forbes India, and the author of a number of books. Shalini also hosts a frequently watched show on LinkedIn called the Future of Work Show, where she discusses ideas about the future that are becoming central to how we think about work.</p>

Episode 2 with Angelika Burovski
<p>In our first podcast Dr. Justine Chinoperekweyi (<a href= "http://drjustine.net/"><span style= "color: #22242f;">http://drjustine.net/</span></a> ) shared his experience as a scholar, author, and practitioner of OD in Africa and the Middle East. Justine suggests formulaic OD without contextual intelligence, is problematic, and stresses the importance of enquiry and engagement. In this second podcast, we are joined by Angelika Burovski, an OD Gestalt practitioner from Skopje, North Macedonia, part of the Balkan region in South East Europe with its recent and current history of conflict. Both our guests work in culturally rich parts of the world, with complex political, social and economic histories. Justine brought to our attention the moral courage and understanding of the structural, cultural, and social contexts needed to undertake OD in complex environments. Angelika shares with us how her work, based on Gestalt principles, works with communities with a history of trauma, and invites people to use their whole intelligence and stresses the vital importance of being fully present in the field as we strive to bring about effective and impactful OD.</p> <p><strong>About Angelika Burovski</strong></p> <p>Angelika Burovski was born in Switzerland but returned to North Macedonia with her family when she was ten years old, around the end of the Balkan conflict in 1999. Angelika is trained in Gestalt and has a MSc in Organisation Development, with a main focus on Gestalt and System Mapping methodology. Six years ago, Angelika founded the GO Centre for Organisation Development with a team of 9 associates, based in Skopje, working with ‘ whole intelligence’ in supporting individuals, teams and organisations. Angelika shares her passion for Gestalt through teaching and consulting in Skopje, London and Oslo. Angelika is currently Co-Chair of ODN Europe.</p>
