Go Rebuild My Church

About Go Rebuild My Church

”Go Rebuild My Church.” In these Podcasts, we explore ways to put into practice the words spoken to St. Francis of Assisi by our Lord Jesus and how this theme is relevant as we seek to bring renewal to the Church today! Leslie’s and my passion for renewal was ignited when we returned to the Catholic Church 14 years ago. And that is when we heard the call to rebuild and joined efforts with many other renewal movements within the Church. You can learn more about our journey home and our lay apostolate dedicated to renewal in the Catholic Church by visiting our website at www.catholicdiscipleshipministries.org. Our prayer is through the ministry of this Podcast program and our lay apostolate we can provide pathways for you to join the rebuilding process and experience renewal. We want to welcome listeners joining us for the first time. In our podcasts, we look at the sacred scripture, excerpts from the catechism, the lives of the saints, and the teaching of the Church, as we seek to challenge individuals, families, and local parishes to Rebuild and Renew the Catholic Faith here in America.

The Call to Re-Evangelize the Western Church Part II

In Part II of a three-part series, the Doanes continue to explain why Western Christianity must be re-evangelized. Statistics show that the secular force in our culture currently prevails within the Catholic Church. We suspect these forces are also working in Evangelical communities. Four hundred and thirty-three years ago, God raised up an amazing Apostle, St. Francis de Sales. He set out to re-evangelize in the region of the French Alps, where Catholics had basically abandoned the Faith. His approach was spiritually timeless. In this podcast, Peter and Leslie show how St. Francis de Sales, in both his strategies and his virtue, can model re-evangelization today!

The Call for Re-Evangelization in the Western Church Part I

The Call to Re-Evangelize the Western Church was proclaimed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. They saw that the decline in church membership and baptisms was symptomatic of a secularization taking place. In this podcast, the Doanes explain how re-evangelization changes hearts and lives, bringing God's life back to the clergy, consecrated religious, and the laity. Before we evangelize the lost, we too, must return to the "faith, once and for all, delivered to all the saints."

Unmasking the Trojan Horse in the Western Church Part III

In this final of a three-part series, the Doanes outline a course of action to defeat the scourge of secularism. The force of secularism absolutely paralyzes the Western Church. Individuals, families, and local churches must rediscover the spiritual disciplines that have kept Christians in the Faith for 2000 years! St. Peter, on the day of Pentecost, declared that the new believers must be "saved from this perverse generation" (Acts 2:40). What was then is again now! This podcast becomes a life changer.
