Be One With Your Thumbprint

'But what will other people think?' This is a common distracting thought I find popping up more frequently than preferred. If this happens to me, I know I am not alone. In this episode, I decided to divulge the truth about thoughts I've allowed to deter me from the path I'm meant to keep in focus. Our thumbprint is just like our blueprint for life; it is unlike anyone else's. With this complete uniqueness, we get the chance to spend time wisely by getting to know our blueprint more, and others less. No one else on this entire planet has lived the life you are living. Remember this the next time this thought distraction tries to put you in your own way.

Tough Times Never Last, Tough People Do

I hope this episode meets you in a time where you need it the most. The inspiration from today's episode was found in a tiny little note on the back of a business card, left behind by my own Grandpa. Sometimes in life we need to know we are not alone, that our problems have a limited life span, and that somehow this problem will bring positive possibilities. Maybe our problems can be our greatest asset, once we decide to alter our view of the problem.

Pruning Old Notions

When was the last time you allowed for the space to be vulnerable, surrender, and let go of everything? When I first moved in with my grandma two years ago, she constantly commented on how all the excessive thoughts I would word vomit in conversations were clogging up my brain. It has taken a long yet honorable journey to work alongside useful practices to clear out what no longer serves me. Instead of being paralyzed by hyperawareness of thoughts, there is a space where we can surrender our racing thoughts and embrace the peace of silence. This can allow us to focus on what truly matters, gain clarity to take action on decisions, and regain structure in every facet of our lives. In this episode I decided to get very honest about a vision meditation where pruning off dead branches of a plant brings great clarity; as odd as it may feel, I'm inviting you to let go of judgement and simply embrace the ride of visualizing along with me. When we let go of areas we have held so preciously, it gives us the opportunity to see what will truly come back, and what was never meant for us.
