Defending the Catholic Faith: Apologetics, the Eucharist & Living What You Believe

How do you defend your Catholic faith without turning every conversation into an argument? On this episode of God’s Casting Call, host Roman G. sits down with Chris to explore Catholic apologetics, his journey from a non-denominational Christian church to Catholicism, and what it means to explain and live your faith with conviction, humility and love. Chris shares the questions that led him to research Catholicism, church history, the Protestant Reformation and different Christian denominations. The conversation also tackles one of the biggest areas of disagreement surrounding Catholic teaching: the Eucharist and the Catholic belief in the Real Presence. Roman and Chris discuss how apologetics can become an invitation rather than a confrontation, why listening matters when talking about faith, how to respond when you don’t know the answer to a difficult theological question, and why everyday acts of service can sometimes communicate Christianity more powerfully than words. In this episode: Finding Christ and exploring the Catholic faith Catholic apologetics and defending your beliefs Common misconceptions about Catholicism The Eucharist and transubstantiation Catholicism, Protestantism and church history Evangelization through love rather than confrontation How to discuss faith with family, friends and coworkers Listening when someone challenges your beliefs Handling difficult questions when you don’t know the answer Living your Christian faith through service, humility and action The episode closes with a simple message for anyone still growing in faith: keep learning, remain humble, get back up when you stumble, and seek first the Kingdom of God. God’s Casting Call explores faith through conversations with people from different faiths, backgrounds and walks of life.
