And we have hidden just such a track for you on our Golden Record: Our guest is Carl Sagan? Carl Sagan led the Golden Record project and was part of the curatorial team. But he's not just that, he's also a great communicator (as you'll hear), an ambassador for science and astronomy, and was involved in virtually all NASA missions that explored our solar system. Of course, we also ask him from which sunny place in the universe he answered our burning questions, even though he has been officially dead for thirty years. Unser Gedächtnis im Berg: Die analoge Cloud

Es ist ein bekanntes Gedankenexperiment, das man gern völlig apokalypsefern auf einer einsamen Insel durchspielt: Welche drei Gegenstände würde man mitnehmen? Ob diese einsame Insel eher utopisch oder dystopisch ist, bleibt der Fantasie jedes Einzelnen überlassen. Doch was passiert, wenn man dieses Szenario in viel größerem Maßstab denkt – nicht für eine einzelne Person, sondern für ein ganzes Land? Genau hier kommt Jonas Feltes ins Spiel. Er ist Referatsleiter beim Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe (BBK) und beschäftigt sich mit nichts Geringerem als dem Schutz des kulturellen Erbes Deutschlands. Im Gespräch nimmt er uns mit zum Barbarastollen, wo auf Mikrofilm die wichtigsten Archivalien des Landes gesichert werden – teils für bis zu 500 Jahre. Eine Art analoge Cloud, die das kulturelle Gedächtnis der Bundesrepublik bewahrt. Hinter all dem technischen Aufwand steckt jedoch ein zutiefst menschlicher Gedanke: Lücken zu füllen, die Kriege in eine Gesellschaft reißen können.
