GBBMN Episode 10 - Cujo
(Previously released in October 2019)<br /><br />Happy Halloween all you lovely listeners out there! Take a listen to what, most likely will be the longest episode of our show! How can we make an episode that goes longer than the length of the movie you ask? Well when you get guests on and go on a bit of an excursion it'll always bump up your time.<br /><br />The <a href="https://www.instagram.com/gbbmnpod/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Good Beer Bad Movie Night</a> went on tour for this episode and paid our friend Kris-from-Geelong a visit. We started the evening up with dinner and beer tastings at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/littlecreatures_geelong/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Little Creatures in Geelong</a>. Then once back at Kris' we started our viewing of the Stephen King classic, "Cujo." We watched "Cujo" in honour of Kris' recent step into Doggy-fatherhood, and were accompanied by his great dane puppy, Ella, and his old black cat, Sabbath, throughout a good chunk of this episode. While watching "Cujo" we chatted about our love of Halloween, all things Stephen King (films and books), we introduce our listeners to the Gheory Scale from the American <a href="https://www.instagram.com/gbbmnpodcast/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Good Beer Bad Movie Night</a>, murderous rabbits, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/moondogbrewing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Moon Dog Brewing</a>’s new venue <a href="https://www.instagram.com/moondogworld/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Moon Dog World</a>, Mike's trip to Thailand, Reuben's path of music exploration and the discovery of the American/Cambodian band, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/denguefevermusic/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dengue Fever</a>, and the Mongolian band, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/hanggai.official/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hanggai</a>, also a story how he once flooded his parents' car in a flash flood. How Kris and Reuben grew up watching horror films (Reuben was provided a steady stream of horror films from his <a href="https://www.instagram.com/joaneden32/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nana</a> without the knowledge of his parents), and we even started to watch the movie. "The Howling 3" starring Barry Humphries, AKA Dame Edna, and we get into the weeds with Kris and Reuben’s love of "Star Wars" and Mike’s ambivalence towards it.<br /><br />We also mentioned a few friends of the show on this episode. GBBMN Episode 11 - Starcrash

In honor of the release of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/starwars/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@starwars</a> we decided to watch a couple of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/starwars/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">#starwars</a> inspired pieces of crap. First on the chopping block was the 1978 spaghetti sci-fi, "Starcrash" starring none other than the <a href="https://www.instagram.com/davidhasselhoff/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@davidhasselhoff</a><br /><br />We get into the weeds about why Micheal doesn't like "Star Wars" yet Reuben loves it, we do agree that "Spaceballs" is incredible, though. We talk about the life and times of Rick Moranis, Reuben's recent trip to the states to celebrate <a href="https://www.instagram.com/elan_meltzer/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@elan_meltzer</a> & <a href="https://www.instagram.com/mayammeltzer/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@mayammeltzer</a> from Jersey City's wedding, and while on that trip he was a guest on these two incredible podcasts, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/average_joe_pod/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@average_joe_pod</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/atblackaaron/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@atblackaaron</a> Both of which are far better shows than this one and well worth your time. It was also on this trip that Reuben began to over eat, the problem started when he ate an entire pizza at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/star_tavern/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@star_tavern</a>. Reuben reminisced about his time spent at anime conventions in his 20s. We remarked on how much people abroad would appreciate the Australian craft beer scene with the likes of amazing brewers such as <a href="https://www.instagram.com/moondogbrewing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@moondogbrewing</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/lasirenebrewing/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@lasirenebrewing</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/hargreaveshill/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@hargreaveshill</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/mpbrewery/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@mpbrewery</a>, and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/dainton.beer/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@dainton.beer</a>. While on his trip to the States, Reuben was able to visit <a href="https://www.instagram.com/thebruery/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@thebruery</a> with his cousin <a href="https://www.instagram.com/wavesofnoise/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@wavesofnoise</a> and partner <a href="https://www.instagram.com/alvi_talavera/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@alvi_talavera</a> from LA. Mike also professed his love of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/familyguyfox/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@familyguyfox</a> and his growing appreciation for winter.
