Why Lebanon and the Levant could be the next outsourcing destination

Hi! Hello! What makes the Middle East an interesting destination for outsourcing, and why should businesses look beyond traditional locations such as India, the Philippines, Eastern Europe and Latin America? In this episode of Good Morning BSS World, I travel from Warsaw to Miami to talk with Fayez Nicolas Chaar, Founder of OEG Outsourcing, about the opportunities, challenges and untapped potential of the Levant region in the global outsourcing market. Fayez shares the story behind his entrepreneurial journey, from building an online tutoring platform that attracted more than 10,000 students in six months to creating an outsourcing business powered by a growing international community of professionals. Today, OEG Outsourcing connects businesses with talent across Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Jordan, supporting companies with a wide range of services. During our conversation, we explore how the economic crisis in Lebanon created new opportunities for international outsourcing, why the region's education system and multilingual talent pool can be valuable assets, and how companies can access skilled professionals while managing costs. We also discuss the importance of communication, cultural compatibility, recruitment, employee retention and service quality in outsourcing partnerships. Fayez explains how OEG Outsourcing works with international clients and addresses operational challenges, including electricity, internet connectivity and regional instability. Can the Levant become a more recognised destination for business process outsourcing (BPO), customer service, virtual assistance, IT and other business services? Join me for a conversation about entrepreneurship, talent acquisition, global business services and the future of outsourcing beyond traditional markets. Enjoy! How Raya CX Is Building Its European BPO and Customer Experience Business

Hi! Hello! In this episode of Good Morning BSS World, I take you to Egypt and Poland to talk about the development of Raya CX with Sherif Kamel, General Manager & Proxy to the Board at Raya CX Europe. We discuss the story behind Raya CX, its roots in Raya Holding, and the company’s evolution from an internal call center into an international BPO and customer experience organization with around 10,000 employees, 15 sites and operations across eight countries. A major part of our conversation focuses on Poland. Raya entered the Polish market in 2014 and launched operations in 2016. Today, Poland plays an important role in the company’s European strategy, particularly when it comes to advanced technical capabilities, IT outsourcing, technical support and multilingual operations. Sherif explains how Raya combines different delivery locations, including Poland and Egypt, to support customers across Europe, the United States and the Nordic countries. We also explore Raya CX’s portfolio, covering hosting, ITO, HR and finance outsourcing, consulting, offshoring, nearshoring and local outsourcing. We talk about multilingual customer support, the importance of combining local talent with international language capabilities, and why Poland can offer strong value for money when advanced skills are required. Looking ahead, Sherif shares Raya CX’s plans for further expansion in Central and Eastern Europe, including potential partnerships or acquisitions. We also discuss how artificial intelligence could transform basic customer service while creating new opportunities for advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support. This is a conversation about BPO, CX, AI, nearshoring, offshoring, multilingual operations and the future of business services in Europe. Enjoy! GBS for the NEXT DECADE vol. 2 What to Expect from the Executive Leadership Conference

Hi! Hello! What does the next decade of Global Business Services look like? In this episode of Good Morning BSS World, I talk to Michał Bielawski, Managing Partner and CFO at Adaptive Solutions & Advisory Group, about the upcoming GBS for the NEXT DECADE vol. 2 – Executive Senior Leadership Conference, taking place in Łódź. This is the second edition of an event created specifically for GBS leaders and senior professionals who want to discuss the future of the industry from a practical business perspective. Rather than focusing on traditional conference panels, the event is designed around real experience, business cases and open discussions between professionals. During our conversation, Michał walks me through the conference concept and its key topics. The agenda covers strategy, transformation, operations, technology, artificial intelligence and future capabilities. We discuss how technology can change GBS operating models, how transformation is being implemented in today's organizations, and how AI may reshape processes and the way GBS teams work. Another important theme is the relationship between GBS and the core business. We talk about how GBS organizations can move beyond traditional standardized processes and become increasingly connected with areas such as R&D, finance, procurement and more sophisticated business operations. The conference brings together GBS leaders from major international organizations, creating an opportunity to share perspectives, lessons learned and practical experience. The format also includes live audience sessions, encouraging participants to actively contribute to the discussions. If you work in Global Business Services, Shared Services, transformation, operations, technology or AI, this conversation gives you a preview of what to expect from GBS for the NEXT DECADE vol. 2 and why this event is worth having on your radar.
