Previously, as a Coalition Coordinator and a Prevention Specialist, she worked within schools and the community to educate about substance use prevention and increase the prevalence of harm reduction programs. Autumn led the efforts in starting the CHANGE Coalition in Niagara Falls, NY, where they worked to expand community resource accessibility for substance abuse and mental health conditions. In her current role with NAMI York-Adams as the PAUSE Coordinator, she coordinates and manages the yearly PAUSE school meeting schedule, oversees data and reporting from youth groups across multiple schools, and helps ensure that each PAUSE session is staffed, supported, and impactful. Autumn works closely with the facilitators to maintain training and weekly coverage with groups, as well as takes an active role in co-facilitating in-school youth groups, bringing both professional training and personal lived experience to the conversations. Outside of the school groups, she works to support outreach efforts such as school events, health fairs, and community activities that promote mental health awareness. Autumn, along with other staff members, participates regularly in NAMI program trainings, peer advisory committees, and statewide or national events to ensure the PAUSE program continues to grow and reflect best practices. She is passionate about mental health advocacy, especially for youth, and brings a deep commitment to the mission of NAMIYA and PAUSE to reduce the stigma around mental health.

Here are links that we also want to share for our social media!!

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nami.yorkadams/

Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@namiyorkadams

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NAMIYORKADAMS/

Follow our Aevidum Club on Instagram at @cyms_aevidum and if you like our podcast, please leave a review or comment so that others can find this important resource!

This podcast has been nominated as one of the Top 45 Suicide Prevention Podcasts on the web.
