Monaco eerste race met strengere motorcontroles na Mercedes-gedoe | GPFans News
<p>De FIA voert in de aanloop naar de Grand Prix van Monaco een belangrijke regelwijziging door met betrekking tot het meten van de compressieverhouding van Formule 1-motoren. Vanaf 1 juni worden de krachtbronnen aan strengere controles onderworpen om een vermeend grijs gebied te dichten, waarvan wordt beweerd dat Mercedes er voordeel uit haalt. Daarmee is de race in de straten van Monte Carlo de eerste wedstrijd die onder de herziene technische reglementen wordt verreden.</p>

McLaren overweegt eigen Formule 1-motor te bouwen | GPFans News
<p>McLaren overweegt in de toekomst een eigen Formule 1-krachtbron te bouwen. Dat heeft Zak Brown laten weten, maar hij komt wel met een voorwaarde. Hij reageert op de mogelijke terugkeer naar eenvoudigere V8-motoren in 2031. Valtteri Bottas dreigt na slechts vijf races zijn stoeltje bij het nieuwe Formule 1-team van Cadillac alweer kwijt te raken voor testcoureur Colton Herta.</p>
