<p><br></p> <h2><strong>Why we are discussing this today?</strong></h2> <p>With the COVID outbreak, the dynamics of work as we have always known it, just shifted & we must be on our toes to innovate.</p> <h2><strong>What Is A Knowledge Product?</strong></h2> <p>Anything that teaches people how to do something.<br> You can make money from packaging your knowledge & selling it to people who need your help.<br> This episode shows you exactly how.</p> <h2><strong>Examples of Digital Knowledge Products:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Ebooks</li> <li>Screen Recording on how to use a software/app,</li> <li>Video Tutorial on skills like hair, meals etc.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Do People Actually Pay For Digital Knowledge Products?</strong></h2> <p>In spite of free information out there, the answer is YES.<br> Especially if you have a trusted brand, it becomes easier to sell your knowledge to your existing audience.<br> That’s why it’s great to select a niche/area where you have personal results.</p> <p><strong>PPS:</strong> I run an Online Marketing Agency, where I work with lots of Course Creators who are making money selling their knowledge.</p> <h2><strong>STEP-BY-STEP ON HOW TO GET STARTED</strong></h2> <ol> <li>Decide on a product</li> <li>Validate it: It has to be something people want.</li> <li>Pre-sell - Before you invest time in creating something no one may be willing to be pay for, put out a free mini-version & get leads (potential paying customers) whilst you're at it.</li> <li>Decide on the format for your actual product.</li> <li>Get your pricing right</li> <li>Create a sales page</li> </ol> <ul> <li>State the problem you’re solving (in the customer’s own words)</li> <li>Highlight the specific results they will get when they use your product</li> <li>Share testimonials (again, this could be reviews from the free mini-version or people you’ve taught in the past/ your own personal testimonial)</li> <li>Add some form of urgency or hook such as an early discount/ bonus such as group support</li> </ul> <p>7. Time to promote!!!</p> <ul> <li>Start with your immediate/existing audience - some of which you gathered from the free version</li> <li>Then partner & leverage other people’s audience</li> <li>Paid Marketing : FB/IG Ads, Google Ads</li> </ul> <p>8. Get feedback & improve on your product.</p> <p>9. Rinse & Repeat</p> <h2><strong>EXTRA TIPS</strong></h2> <p>1. Give value.</p> <p>If your aim is to just sell, people can smell it.</p> <p>2. Build your Authority - content marketing - if this is all you do this COVID period, it’s an investment into the future.</p> <p>3. Get Reviews from those you’ve helped & LOUD IT!</p> <p>4.
