This week we come to one of the most famous but often misapplied passages. It is misapplied when we immediately put ourselves in the shoes of Paul and his friends. But this gives us too much credit, at least at first. We are first meant to put ourselves in the shoes of the Corinthians. Why does Paul went them to understand these truths? He wants them to see that the messengers are like no other, because the message they bring - and its influence - is unlike any other.

The Simple Swagger of the Second Covenant - 2 Cor. 4:1-6
This week we keep going on Paul's main theme of why he operated with the Corinthians with a "simple swagger." Ironically, his "swagger" was real but very humble, for none of it was based on him or about him. It was all for Christ, because of Christ, through Christ. As we dig into this passage, we will uncover some profound themes for ourselves and for proclaiming the terms of the second covenant to a world that desperately needs it.

Seeking Glory in Christ - 2 Cor. 3

Like a cellar under an old house, we need to make sure our shelves are stocked with jars of nourishment from 2 Corinthians 3.
