Who controls your money?
It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking more money is the key to happiness and peace. In reality more money isn't the answer, it's controlling the money you have. Think about it...you can have all the money in the world but if your bills equal the same amount as your income, it's gone instantly. But if your expenses are less than your income you have more margin to work with. More margin equals more freedom. How do we create more margin? By spending our money in a way that honors God instead of chasing what the world has to offer. Everyone is vying for your money and if we aren't careful, we will give it away to quickly to people who just want to make their own money. But God isn't in the money-making business. He owns it all already. You're not a stream of income to him, you are a steward of what he gave you and he wants you to be successful.
If we say yes to Jesus, it should impact everything, including our money. He wants you to control your money not the other way around. So, how do we follow Jesus with our money? That's what we're going to talk about this week.

Is He Worth It - Week 1
We ask ourselves this question every day, "Is it worth it?"
You might even ask this before you open your eyes in the morning. "Is the snooze button worth it?" Then you ask it as you make your lunch. "Is it worth it to buy lunch today or should I just pack what we have?"vYou ask it about your time. "Is the event really worth the drive, the ticket, the parking?" You ask it about taking on a new role. "Is the increase in pay worth the increase in responsibility?" Every decision boils down to worth. What about Jesus? Is he worth it? He lays out a pretty steep price tag when he talks about following him: Pick up your cross daily. That's a lot of heavy lifting. It begs the question, Is He Worth It? Over the next four weeks we're going to look at aspects of the Christian life and consider whether it is truly worth it to follow Jesus.

Mark - Week 19
The Temple was destroyed in AD 70 by the Romans in response to a Jewish revolt. Jesus is likely describing life for the disciples and followers of Jesus until AD 70 in these verses. Things get bad. But Jesus is coming back.
What do we do with all of this?
1. Hold on to God's word.
2. Don't panic, Don't fear, Don't worry.
3. Live like you are eagerly awaiting Jesus' return.
Offer help and hope to a world that needs it.
