Summer in Psalms - Part 2
Summer in the Psalms - Psalms 12 Psalms 12:1-8 NIV Help, LORD, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race.Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts.May the LORD silence all flattering lips and every boastful tonguethose who say, “By our tongues we will prevail; our own lips will defend us—who is lord over us?”“Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise,” says the LORD. “I will protect them from those who malign them.”And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race. When We Feel Outnumbered, Cry Out to God! When We Feel Outnumbered, Remember That Words have Tremendous Power! When We Feel Outnumbered, God Hears the Oppressed! When We Feel Outnumbered, God's Word is Completely Trustworthy! When We Feel Outnumbered, We Can Have the Confidence that God Preserves His People! Philippians 4:6-7 NIV Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Matthew 12:34 NIV You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. Mark 5:25-34 NIV And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloakbecause she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”“You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” John 14:6 NIV Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:15-17 NIV “If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you foreverthe Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. Romans 8:31-39 NIV What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. When deception surrounds us and faithfulness seems scarce, we can confidently trust God's Word and rest in his faithful protection. Bible Study Help This is a great Bible study tool. Summer in the Psalms - Part 1
Summer in the Psalms - Psalms 11 Psalms 11:1-7 NIV In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain. For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them. The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion. On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. When the FOUNDATIONS crumble, TRUST in the Lord. Reason #1: Because He is a REFUGE. (Psalm 11:1-3) Reason #2: Because He is SOVEREIGN (Psalm 11:4-6) Reason #3: Because the RIGHTEOUS will SEE GOD'S FACE (Psalm 11:7) Bible Study Help This is a great Bible study tool. End Time Prophecy - Part 9
End Time Prophecy - "Life in God's Eternal Kingdom" God will create a new reality: A New Heaven and a New Earth. God will dwell with His people. God will remove every effect of the fall. God will fulfill every promise. God will establish perfect citizenship in the New Jerusalem. Revelation 21:1-22 NIV Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long. The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits thick. The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emeraldthe fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 NIV Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Isaiah 65:17 NIV “See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. 2 Peter 3:13 NIV But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. Genesis 1:27 NIV So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Ephesians 2:8 NIV For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God 1 Corinthians 15:26 NIV The last enemy to be destroyed is death. Romans 8:17 NIV Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. John 14:1-3 NIV 1 John 3:2-3 NIV "The believer's future is a new creation, a new home, a new relationship unhindered by sin, a new experience free from suffering, and a new eternity in the presence of God."
