Grace Hills Church is a people of grace proclaiming the riches of God’s grace in Jesus Christ so the hills of our region resound with the praise of His glorious grace and reflect heaven more each day.
What does God want from us when we face suffering we cannot understand? Through Job's encounter with God, we learn that faithfulness is not about having all the answers, but about humbly trusting God's wisdom and submitting to His will. After wrestling with his suffering and questioning God's purposes, Job comes to recognize God's greatness and his own limited understanding. Rather than receiving an explanation for his suffering, Job is called to respond with humility, repentance, and obedience. This sermon encourages us to trust God's sovereign goodness and take the next step of obedience, even when our circumstances remain difficult and unanswered questions persist.

Job's Good Deeds, God's Good Gift
In Job 1:6–12, Satan challenges the sincerity of Job’s righteousness and raises a deeper question: Does Job fear God simply because God has blessed him?
In this message, we consider the test set before Job—whether he will remain faithful when God’s gifts are taken away—and what the outcome means for both Job and God. We also see that our righteous deeds are not something we offer to God to earn His favor. Rather, even our good works are gifts of His grace. And in the midst of suffering, we can rest in the truth that God perfectly knows our circumstances, our troubles, and our hearts.
