Life is beautiful, messy, funny, heartbreaking—and rarely goes according to plan. Grace in the Chaos is a real-life podcast about motherhood, nursing, raising kids, navigating special needs, small-town life, and finding humor in the middle of it all. Through honest stories, practical education, and conversations about the things we don’t always say out loud, RayAnn creates a place to laugh, learn, feel understood, and find a little grace in the chaos.
In honor of Perinatal Nurses Week, we’re taking a trip down memory lane to my years as an OB nurse! From Labor & Delivery to postpartum and the nursery, I’ve seen the beautiful, the hilarious, the heartbreaking, and the downright chaotic.
We’re talking about the things nobody tells you about childbirth, what really happens behind the scenes, the things OB nurses wish every mom knew, and why working with babies isn’t always as sweet and cuddly as it sounds.
There will be laughs, a little education, and probably a few things that will make you say, “WAIT… WHAT?!”
Whether you’re a mom, a nurse, expecting a baby, or just here for the chaos, this one’s for you!
Because bringing babies into the world is beautiful… but it definitely isn’t always rainbows!

Episode 4: The One Where I Turn 40!
I turned 40, and apparently I have some feelings about it. This week we’re talking about what I thought life would look like by 40 versus what it actually looks like – the things I care about less, the things I care about way more, motherhood, marriage, work, friendships, my body, getting older, and whether any of us actually feel like grown-ups.

Chaos of the week: Kiss and go line-just keep moving!!!
This week‘s chaos: the school drop off line. Pull forward. Kids out. Keep moving. It should be simple… And yet every morning, someone turns the kiss and go lane into long-term parking.

How we met: The story before the chaos
If you looked at our life now, you’d see kids, schedules, work, laundry, and approximately nine million things happening at once. But there was actually a very peaceful time when it was just the two of us.

Chaos of the Week-whose idea was morning anyway?
Welcome to Chaos of the Week—the part of the show where I tell you about something that happened in my real life that I genuinely could not make up. Kids, marriage, work, mom fails, forgotten appointments, questionable decisions…nothing is off limits.
Because sometimes you just have to laugh at the chaos and give yourself a little grace.

Meet The Chaos: The People Who Make My World Go Round
Before I get too far into sharing the stories, the chaos, and everything in between, I figured you should probably meet the people I talk about the most!
In this episode, I’m here introducing you to my husband and my kids-their personalities, the things that make each of them completely unique, and a little bit about what life looks like in our family.
They’re all VERY different, they all bring their own special kind of chaos, and they’re the people behind so many of the stories that you’ll hear about on this podcast.
So grab your coffee, hop in your car, fold some laundry-or whatever you’re doing-and come meet my crew. 🤎

Mic off, Mom mode on
I had a plan for this episode. I sat down and recorded 54 minutes telling the birth story of my first child—only to discover that I NEVER TURNED MY MICROPHONE ON. 😂
So…you’re not getting that episode today.
Instead, this is a quick 16-minute dose of Grace in the Chaos. I’m sharing my very humbling podcast fail, why sometimes you just have to laugh and move on, and a story from one of those completely normal, completely chaotic mornings trying to get my kids out the door for school.
No perfectly planned topic. No polished lesson. Just real life, motherhood, a microphone mishap, and the kind of morning that makes you wonder how anyone gets anywhere on time.
Because sometimes the chaos IS the episode. 🤍

From Hospital Halls to Medical Aesthetics: How I Got Here
In the first episode of Grace in the Chaos, I’m taking you back to where a huge part of my story began—my nursing career. I’m sharing how I found my way into nursing, what my years working in the hospital taught me, and the twists, turns, and life experiences that eventually led me to make a big career change into medical aesthetics.
It wasn’t necessarily the path I pictured when I started, but that’s kind of the point. Sometimes the biggest changes happen when life pushes us in a direction we never expected.
This episode is a little about nursing, a little about starting over, and a lot about learning to find the courage—and the grace—to embrace a new chapter.

Welcome to Grace in the Chaos | Meet RayAnn
Welcome to Grace in the Chaos! In this short introduction, I’m sharing a little about who I am, why I finally decided to start this podcast, and what you can expect along the way.
We’ll talk about nursing, motherhood, raising kids, navigating the unexpected, small-town life, career changes, and all the messy, funny, hard, and beautiful moments in between.
This isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about sharing real stories, learning from each other, laughing when we can, and finding a little grace in the chaos.
