Granny Phen's Wonderland:

About Granny Phen's Wonderland: 大象奶奶的美國日記

PhenPhen, who left her stable government job in Taiwan, came to the US for her Master's study, ended up staying working in the US. She is hosting this Podcast to share her observations, experiences in language learning, challenges faced in speaking a second language at workplace, and travels. Most of the content is just wandering thoughts and not crafted, but she will start to interview some interesting people to explore the fun and difficulties to joggle in multiple languages.

[Phen Life] Back to Work in Taiwan! [

Hey folks, I am going back to Taiwan to work in a position I’m really interested in. This is not an easy decision, but I feel this position would allow me a lot of opportunity to learn and pivot my career trajectory. I would continue to interview people in Taiwan and work on filming for my Ph.D. study. Looking forward to coming back with more stories and memories! [Phen Fun] Tried dancing Salsa in the U.S.!

Two things to share in this episode - The first is, my Mandarin-speaking podcast, “American Trash” is live now. The link is below. Please check that out, like, comment and subscribe! Please please please! 美國垃圾話 | American Trash (https://open.spotify.com/show/033ZSbcUWkIGhqBPCoh879?si=qrQddoSMQXWDxxCdO1KMTA) The second thing is, not until I tried Salsa did I realize how much negative impact working in tech cost me. I saw myself with a completely female face, but acted like a man. I definitely need to dance more to bring back my feministic side. If you like my podcast, please give it a 5-star rating, and follow me so you won’t miss my future episodes. You could also follow me on Instagram at @elephant.phen. Thank you, and take care!
