Hi Y’all it’s Corinne, This episode is dedicated to my beloved Neida who without I may not still be here today. She left us to join the rest of our beloved family in the sky and reunite with the love her life. Racheal helps me unpack everything I went through after learning I only had a few days to say goodbye to one of the greatest loves of my life. We dive into the ugly side of grief and those people who would desecrate our loved ones in their final days by stealing their belongings. Like why would you be such a souless lowlife. You know who you are. I know you’re reading this.
Lastly, we talk about terminal lucidity and having the honor to be present in those final moments. This episode really explores all of the beauty, sadness, and family togetherness that death has in common with all of us. Learning how to let go is not just hard on those of us losing a loved one, It’s the hardest and most noble decision very few of us will ever have to face having to make. Neida made the hardest decision anyone will ever face, choosing when to go.
She is my hero and will always be my mother and now she’s officially the first person I will thank when I win my Oscar.
A very special thanks to my family who went through the hardest week of our lives but, we did it together.
