13: What are my best productivity tips?
<p>In this episode, I share my best productivity tips to help you stay focused and productive throughout the day. I start by talking about how I prepare for the week ahead by creating a list of personal and professional tasks to tackle on Sunday nights. I then discuss how I use time-blocking on Google Calendar to manage my schedule, including important tasks, emails, and even walks. I explain that I prefer to keep my calendar simple by only colour-coding my meetings, while keeping all of my tasks-related items in another color. I also share that I only arrange three days at a time to leave my CEO day on Friday open to things I did not get to do before, which makes it less stressful to see my schedule on the calendar. I emphasise the importance of being mindful of my own energy levels throughout the day and scheduling my tasks accordingly. For example, I feel more mentally present in the morning, so I try to add a time block every single morning for writing. In the afternoon, when I feel a little less present or more tired, I usually focus on designing or managing our Notion management boards. I also talk about how I use tools like Notion to help me stay organized and manage my team's priorities, including adding deadlines for each team member. Finally, I provide some tips on how to manage phone and notification distractions to help you stay focused on your work.
