Willkommen beim Große Pause Podcast! Hier geht es um alle Themen rund um das Sabbatjahr. Sabbatjahr? Was ist das eigentlich? Das Sabbatjahr ist so beliebt wie nie. Immer mehr Menschen nehmen sich eine Auszeit vom Job. Ein sogenanntes Sabbatical steigert Motivation und Kreativität enorm. Und es beugt dem Burn-out vor. In Dänemark wird es sogar vom Staat gefördert. Auch Finnland und die Niederlande haben ein vergleichbares Programm. Wir Deutschen warten gerne erst mal ein wenig, bevor wir solche Chancen ergreifen. Wir haben ja genug andere Dinge zu erledigen. Aber das wird kommen. Das Gegengift ist: Abstand. Wir sollten einfach mal ein wenig auf Abstand gehen. Wir ahnen das, wir wünschen uns das – weshalb ein Buch mit dem Titel „Ich bin dann mal weg“ zum Mega-Bestseller geworden ist.

GPP 056 I Interview mit AHA Retreats

Wir durften auf unserer Weltreise eine wundervolle Frau kennenlernen, die sich nach ihrem Sabbatical beruflich verändert hat. Diese berufliche Veränderung wurde durch ihre Erlebnisse maßgeblich beeinflusst. Für Marion war ihre persönliche Umorientierung allerdings nicht das einzige Projekt. Jetzt, nach vielen Jahren, hilft sie jedem, der eine berufliche Veränderung anstrebt. Erfolgreich hat sie ihr eigenes Unternehmen und gibt an wunderschönen Orten ihr Wissen an alle weiter, die einen Job mit Sinn anstreben.

GPP 055 I Berufliche Neuorientierung

Wir haben vor 3 Jahren aus unterschiedlichen Gründen ein Sabbatjahr beantragt. 2 Jahre vor dem Sabbatjahr wollten wir keine berufliche Veränderung, sondern einfach nur reisen. Doch gleichzeitig zur Beantragung des Sabbatjahres haben wir uns nebenberuflich umgeschaut, um herauszufinden was hinter einer beruflichen Veränderung steckt. Uns trieb der Gedanke an selbstbestimmt arbeiten und leben zu können. Anfangs wussten wir nicht, was alles da draußen so möglich ist. Wir lernten in den 2 Jahren sehr viel dazu, probierten vieles aus und vernetzten uns mit Menschen, die genau das bereits erreicht haben. Der Grund eines Sabbatjahres veränderte sich somit von Tag zu Tag. Wie haben sich unsere Gedanken verändert und wie sieht unsere Rückkehr in wenigen Tagen aus?

GPP 054 I Japan Highlights

Im Februar sind wir von Langkawi über Kuala Lumpur nach Osaka geflogen. Dort haben wir eine Nacht im Hotel verbracht, um am nächsten Morgen mit der Haruka Express (Hallo Kitty Bahn) weiter nach Kyoto zu fahren. Wir hatten vorher herausgefunden, dass dort noch traditioneller gelebt wird und die Stadt super spannend ist. Also das Gegenteil von Tokyo! So dachten wir jedenfalls. Die 3 Wochen in Kyoto waren mega. Wir hatten eine Unterkunft, die uns ca. 1000 € gekostet hat. Ein ganzes Haus mit viel Platz und guter Arbeitssituation. In Kyoto gab es sehr viel zu entdecken. Die letzten 6 Tage verbrachten wir in Tokyo und sind dann jeweils alleine weitergereist.
