[…] One guy said, and he had left, he said, you know, if you get told to do something by your mother, hey, go get those jars over there. And you get there and somebody else says, hey, I need you to sweep the floors. And you say, but my mom said to do this. Oh, are you not listening to me? And they could beat the kid. So then they were considered disobedient for not obeying the person that told them to sweep the floors when they had already been told to do something. So there's no winning. There's no way for a kid to be able to be safe. It's just so heartbreaking. I can't imagine being that child that's trying to do what's right, yet no matter what they try to do, they will always be punished for it. […]
