#80: Interview mit Rebecka Le Moine (member of the Swedish Parliament)
In the first Check Out Basic Income Podcast of UBI4ALL episode, we had the immense pleasure of interviewing Rebecka Le Moine. As a member of the Swedish Parliament, she has been working to discuss and implement a basic income in Sweden. In the episode, we get to learn more about Rebecka, but also about challenges that a UBI could help solve, even in a country with a strong welfare state, like Sweden.
Even Rebecka herself was sceptic at the beginning, but soon got convinced by its visionary idea and the potential to tackle climate crisis and social crisis.
About our interviewee: Rebecka Le Moine is a member of the Green Party in the Swedish Parliament, and spokesperson for Biodiversity. With a Master’s degree in conservation biology and a background as a biology consultant, her biggest concern is to find political solutions to tackle the mass extinction of our fellow species. Therefore, she is working to change our basic values and find new solutions for today's problems. One solution she believes in in order to stop the exploitation of both human and nature, is basic income.

#78: Bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen für Künstler in Irland ab 2026
Irland führt ein dauerhaftes Grundeinkommen für Künstler ein, nachdem ein dreijähriges Pilotprojekt erfolgreich war
Dieses Programm, das ab 2026 startet, bietet ausgewählten Kulturschaffenden ein monatliches Einkommen von rund 1.300 € (1.500 $), das aus einem wöchentlichen Stipendium von 325 € (283 £) besteht. Ziel ist es, die finanzielle Stabilität der kreativen Szene zu sichern.
Hintergrund
Das Programm, „Basic Income for the Arts“ genannt, wurde ursprünglich 2022 als Reaktion auf die Auswirkungen der COVID-19-Pandemie ins Leben gerufen.
Es wurde als dreijähriges Pilotprojekt mit 2.000 Kunstschaffenden getestet.
Dauerhafte Einführung
Nach positiven Ergebnissen der wissenschaftlichen Studie wird das Programm nun dauerhaft fortgeführt.
Kultusminister Patrick O'Donovan hat die dauerhafte Einführung für 2026 angekündigt.
Höhe des Einkommens
Die Empfänger erhalten 325 € pro Woche, was etwa 1.300 € pro Monat entspricht.
Die Auszahlungen sollen rückwirkend ab September 2026 erfolgen
Auswirkungen des Pilotprojekts
Die Empfänger arbeiteten im Durchschnitt 5 Stunden pro Woche mehr an ihren Werken.
Die Lebenszufriedenheit stieg signifikant an.
79 % der BGE-Empfänger konnten bis zu diesem Zeitpunkt ein neues Werk fertigstellen, im Vergleich zu 70 % in der Kontrollgruppe.
Definition von Kunst und Kultur
Der Begriff "Kunst" umfasst laut irischer Regierung „jede kreative oder interpretative Ausdrucksform (ob traditionell oder zeitgenössisch) in jeglicher Form, insbesondere bildende Kunst, Theater, Literatur, Musik, Tanz, Oper, Film, Zirkus und Architektur“.
