Grünes Geschäftsmodell, schwarze Zahlen also.

Staco Deutschland (Roto Gruppe) - Guido Gizinski - Geschäftsführer

Borealis AG - Lucrèce Foufopoulos-DeRidder - Executive Vice President
As one of the biggest plastic suppliers in the world Borealis has huge responsibilities to us as humanity.
This podcast leaves us with mixed feelings. Lucrèce is such a smart person & accepted to be on our podcast as well as talked at a program in Austria really dedicated to solve climate change. So she walks the talk.
In this podcast, we tried to find out how not only she as an individual but especially the company she works for really is changing towards a circular economy & what if this company is not only able to do what is "worth it" but what is needed.
We want to believe Borealis becoming a part of the solution to climate change and the plastic problem but just time & action will show if Lucrèce and here team will be able to show that industries like the plastic industry are really able to close the circle.

Ewald Dörken AG - Dr. Marcel Roth - Head of R&D
Having demands about climate action is important. Marcel Roth Head of R&D (https://www.linkedin.com/in/marcel-roth-8a0ab227/) is touring this demand into action for decades. All of that within an industry that is dominated by the demand for system performance not mainly sustainability since it is crucial to ensure the safety of our everyday life.
Chemists are able to do fantastic things with water-based or sustainable or materials BUT often it comes with huge sacrifices of performance.
To break that problem we need to enter the world of complex systems.
Marcel emphasized that in the complex systems we are operating in, collaboration gets not just more important but inevitable. I believe that cooperation is the biggest leverage for every challenge globally. That's why there needs to be more public attention and involvement in worldwide collaborations that solve meaningful problems.
Stay tuned since we soon need your help in such an open collaboration & enjoy this episode.
