Welcome to Season 2 Episode 5!
This episode is pretty special to me because I got to interview my sister Shandy Cortes! She’s a doula, and as such I think she’s a Guardian of Birth. It’s been a joy of mine to watch her grow as a doula, and to see her be a Guardian of Birth as she helps women have amazing birth experiences. I am grateful that I get to share her with you!
Virtue- what comes to mind when you hear that word??? One of my favorite definitions for virtue is “a beneficial quality or power of a thing”. We are all filled with our own virtues- personal strengths and power within us that are gifts given to us by God. The real magic happens when we recognize our virtues and become Guardians of these Virtues, using them for the good of others.

After a long time, I’m finally doing another interview! This interview is with Becca Obeng, a Guardian of Being Undaunted. Becca has been doing a project the last year- 100 days of being undaunted, where she does challenges that stretch her by helping her face her fears. We talk about the confidence she has gained as she’s been doing the challenge, and that is what living undaunted is all about along with leaning on Jesus Christ as we strive to be undaunted.
