Diagnosed just over a year ago, Daisy is one of the newest members of our IBD community we’ve had on Gutsy. She opens up about her diagnosis, speaking honestly about the challenges she has faced and tells us what it’s like coming to terms with a lifelong condition while embracing a busy, fast-paced and physically active schedule.
You may recognise Daisy from The Wrestlers - the Traitor themed wrestling show which supported the Catherine McEwan Foundation back in March. Daisy is a massive advocate for not letting your IBD hold you back from reaching high and achieving your dreams. 🙌

Diagnosed at 17 years old, after a long period undiagnosed and unheard, Shehnaz felt a massive lack of nutritional support. This experience inspired her to study Nutrition and Dietetics herself. Shehnaz’s personal experience and insight allow her to relate to patients, make them feel heard and help them advocate for themselves. 🗣️
