<p>“Öldüğünü kabul edemiyorum.” Yas tutarken bu cümleyi hepimiz değilse de çoğumuz söylemişizdir. Sanki uzak bir yere gitmiş de gelecekmiş gibi. Arasak telefonu açacakmış gibi gelir bazen. Ya da mesela kıyafetlerini dağıtmaya bir türlü elimiz gitmez. Eşyalarını saklarız. Ondan geçmiş zamanda bahsedemeyiz. Hâlâ o varmış gibi yaşarız bazen. Ölümün meydana geldiğine inanılmadığını belirtmek için, geleneksel olarak “inkar” kelimesini kullanırız. Ben bu geleneğe teslim olmak istemiyorum, çünkü inkar sözcüğü bende “gerçeği aktif olarak yalanlamak” gibi bir anlam çağrıştırıyor. Oysa biz yas tutanların anlatmak istediğimiz, kalple akıl arasındaki o aşılmaz uçurumu ima eden bir “kavrayamama” hali." Gelin, yakından bakalım. </p>
