Nitekim Kur’an-ı Kerim’de Allah Teâla şöyle buyurur: “ Yolunu gücü yetenlerin Beyt’i haccetmeleri, insanlar üzerinde Allah’ın bir hakkıdır. ” Hac, sağlığı ve maddi durumu yerinde, hacca gitmek için imkânları yeterli olan her erkek ve kadın için sorumluluktur. Hac zamanı dışında Mekke ve Medine’yi ziyaret ederek umre ibadetini yerine getirmek ise her Müslüman için bahtiyarlıktır.
