2019年、スマートフォンゲーム『BTS WORLD』のオリジナル・サウンドトラックとして発表された「Heartbeat」。
前編では、BTSがデビューするまでの物語と、もし7人がBTSにならず、それぞれ別の人生を歩んでいたら、という「ANOTHER STORY」、『BTS WORLD』に描かれた2つの異なる世界を紹介しました。
「もしも」の世界を背景に生まれたこの曲。
もし君に出会っていなかったら、僕はどうなっていただろう。
まるで海で迷子になったような孤独、真昼に浮かぶ月、出口の見えない迷路。
そして、君という光に導かれ、再び動き出す心臓の鼓動。
歌詞には、運命的な出会いによって人生が変わっていく姿が、美しい比喩とともに描かれています。
さらにMVでは、別々の人生を生きる7人と、現実のBTSが歩んできた軌跡が交差します。

In this episode, we continue our exploration of BTS's "Heartbeat" with the second part of our two-part special.
Released in 2019 as part of the original soundtrack for the mobile game BTS WORLD, "Heartbeat" is a song that takes on a deeper meaning when you understand the world behind it.
In Part 1, we explored the two different worlds portrayed in BTS WORLD: the story of how the seven members came together to debut as BTS, and "ANOTHER STORY," which imagines the lives they might have led if they had never become BTS.
"Heartbeat" was born from this world of "what ifs."
What would have become of me if I had never met you?
The loneliness of being lost at sea, a moon shining in the midday sky, an endless maze with no way out.
And then, a heartbeat that begins to beat again, guided by the light that is you.
Through beautiful metaphors, the lyrics tell a story of how a fateful encounter can change someone's life forever.
The music video brings this story to life, weaving together the seven members' separate lives in an alternate reality with the journey BTS has taken together in the real world.

今回は、BTSの「Heartbeat」を前後編の2回に分けてお届けします。
2019年、BTSが世界的なスターとして活躍していた時期にリリースされたスマートフォンゲーム『BTS WORLD』。
プレイヤーがBTSのマネージャーとなり、2012年のデビュー前に戻って7人を世界的アーティストへと導いていくという、ユニークなゲームでした。
しかし、このゲームにはもう一つの物語がありました。
それが「ANOTHER STORY」。
もし7人がBTSにならず、それぞれ別の人生を歩んでいたら？
探偵小説家を目指すRM、ホテルマンのJin、ピアニストを夢見るSUGA、獣医を目指すj-hope、祖母の餅屋を手伝うJimin、農場で暮らすV、そしてテコンドーに打ち込むJung Kook。
そこには、私たちの知らない7人の人生が描かれていました。
前編となる今回は、『BTS WORLD』が生まれた背景やゲームの仕組み、7人それぞれの「もうひとつの人生」、そしてゲームのために制作されたOSTについて紹介します。
もし7人が出会っていなかったら、BTSは存在していなかったかもしれない…

今回は、BTSの「A Supplementary Story : You Never Walk Alone」を取り上げます。
2017年、アルバム『YOU NEVER WALK ALONE（WINGS外伝）』の最後を飾る楽曲として発表されたこの曲。
前年の『WINGS』で描かれた青春の葛藤や苦しみ、成長の物語を受け継ぎながら、「君は決してひとりじゃない」という温かなメッセージを届けています。
飛びたくても、自分には翼がない。
それでも、君の手が僕の翼になってくれる。
