Was erzählt uns ein Material wie Kaffee oder Zucker über seine (und unsere) koloniale Geschichte? Das war der Startpunkt für die beiden Performer*innen Laia RiCa und Antonio Cerezo, die Videokünstlerin Daniela del Pomar und die Musikerin Yahima Piedra Córdova, sich zum Performance-Kollektiv zusammenzuschließen. “Kaffee mit Zucker”, ihr erstes Stück und Namensgeber hat KMZ über Genregrenzen hinweg zu einem unverzichtbaren Teil der Figurentheaterszene gemacht. Auf welche Arten die vier ein neues Material in all seinen Aggregatszuständen erforschen, wie jede ihrer unterschiedlichen Expertisen in ihre Stücke einfließen und wie wichtig es ist, dass ihre Performances immer auch der spanischsprachigen Community zugänglich sind, erzählen die vier in dieser Folge. [ENG] What’s the puppetry scene like in Poland? How do the studies of puppeteering at the National Theatre Academy Krakow in Wrocław work? And what about the studies of directing puppetry? These and more questions will be answered by Aga Błaszczak, vice-dean of the puppetry department and also a director for puppetry on stage and in film. She also curates the Lalka Nova (= “New Puppet”) conference and the Metaformy Festival, a theatre festival especially for european puppetry academies, that both happen alternately every two years. The podcast HÄNDE HOCH (Hands up) follows the life paths and detours of people on their artistic journey in puppetry. Many fascinating guests from the contemporary puppetry scene answer questions. The third season of HANDS UP is produced by director and professor Roscha A. Säidow and puppetry student Paula Engel. With the kind support of the Department of Contemporary Puppetry at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Puppet Partners International project.
