   That's A Wrap!

Happy anniversary to Hangar 49!  February 2026 is the 16th birthday…er…birth month of this show.  This is our 178th show!  As three private pilots, the three of us, Jimmy, Tony, and Al, have examined virtually every aspect of aviation.  We have exposed the best music, the best movies, the best books, places to visit, websites to explore, and a lineup of aviation sounds and comedy that exposed the internet to some of the best laughter imaginable. So, what does this all mean?  Frankly, we need a break!  Just like your favorite TV series, we're running out of fresh material.  So, here's the deal.  We are going to retire from the weekly, monthly, and quarterly grind of regular podcasting.  But, that doesn't mean we're disappearing from cyberspace.  This trio of flying gabbers fully intends to produce occasional "specials" to ensure that the aviation world does not take itself too seriously. Our website, www.hangar.org will stay where it is. The long lists of hit movies, top songs, and great books will continue to be a reference of all that is good for aviation. Our historical episodes can be found via Apple Podcasts and/or Podchaser.  You can still harass us on our Facebook group page  https://www.facebook.com/groups/Hangar49 or drop us an email at h49flying@gmail.com So, stay tuned for our special shows coming to an internet near you.  Until then….keep flying and have fun! That's a wrap! Yer flying buddies, Jim, Tony, and Al. = = = = = = Movie: Battle Hymn (1957) Book:  How to Hotwire an Airplane by Henry Rausch Interview: Kollin Stagnito-AOPA Song: Deep Purple-Space Truckin' (1972) Comedy/Sound: SNL-Newark's air traffic controller-Bad Bunny & Scarlett Johansen (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/YSL-CZQWjhM)
