#28 James Baldwin - Giovannis rum - LIVEPODD
<p>Det 28:e avsnittet av "Har du inte läst den?" spelades in som livepodd i oktober -24 på Majornas Böcker och Kaffe i Göteborg. Lydia och Hedvig har i sin bedrövelse över världens tillstånd vänt sig till James Baldwin. I romanen "Giovannis rum" från 1956 både söker och flyr en ung amerikan från kärleken i Paris. Hedvig intresserar sig för Baldwins aktivistiska arbete och funderar vad det innebär att leva autentiskt. Lydia finner allmänmänsklig gilitghet i en till synes mycket specifik berättelse. Vad symboliserar egentligen Giovannis rum? Och kan något sluta lyckligt där? </p>

#27 George Orwell - 1984
<p>I poddens 27:e avsnitt har Hedvig och Lydia läst George Orwells "1984", en 75-årsjubilerande klassiker som skrevs 1949 och som blivit en så etablerad del av vår kulturhistoria att ett antal människor tror sig ha läst den fastän de vid närmare eftertanke kanske inte har det. Hur står den sig idag? Bra, att döma av det kanske mest samtidskommenterande avsnittet i poddens historia. Hedvig gläds i själen åt att läsa en roman som säger något om vår tid. Lydia begrundar det faktum över att vi alldeles på egen hand infört Nyspråk. Utöver detta: tankar om Gaza och den psykiatriska diskursens förmåga att säga ingenting alls. </p> <p>Musik av Linus Lahti. </p>

<p>I det tjugosjätte avsnittet av "Har du inte läst den?" har Hedvigs och Lydias bildningsresa nått fram till en av världslitteraturens giganter - Dante Alighieri. Men istället för det självklara resmålet (<em>Den gudomliga komedin</em>) är det ungdomsverket <em>Vita Nuova</em> som blir föremål för utforskning. Hur ska man förstå den av förälskelse drabbade unge mannen som för ordet? För att inte tala om hans tillbedda Beatrice? Och det här med hövisk kärlek, är det något att rekommendera?
