About Hard Things: A Podcast for Christian Wives and Mothers
As Christian wives and mothers, it is imperative for us to be rooted in God's truths for our lives. Motherhood is the hardest hood out there, and we need each other and God's strength to get us through each day. Listen in as Jamie, a wife and mom of three, speaks candidly about her experiences as a wife and mother of young children.

When God calls us to something, we expect obedience to be hard—but we don't always expect it to hurt.
In Episode 2 of Season 2, Jamie returns to her homeschooling journey and shares the unexpected grief that came with saying yes to God's call. For both her and especially her oldest son, homeschooling meant leaving behind familiar people, routines, and experiences.
Through prayer and God's Word, Jamie is learning that we can grieve what we're leaving behind while still trusting the One who called us forward.
This episode is a little muddy, a little messy, and completely authentic. It isn't a perfectly packaged testimony—it's a real-time glimpse into the hard of obedience. So, give Jamie and this episode a little grace.
You can grieve what you're leaving behind and still say yes to God.

S1:E8 We made vows to him...they are passing through.
In the busyness of raising children, we can sometimes neglect our spouses. In this episode, we will be reminded of the importance of putting our husbands above our children, for the children are passing through but our husbands are with us for a lifetime.Scripture References

S1:E7 Hang in there...It's a Process.
When hard times come, we sometimes feel like God is mad with us or we did something wrong. However, it's important to note that our character is developed in the hard times.
Romans 5:3-4 (NLT) states:3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
So, let's not run from our valley seasons. Instead, let's thank God for the opportunity to trust Him more, knowing that we will be stronger, more resilient, and more fit for His work on the other side. Hang in there...it's a process.

S1: E5 Keeping Our Emotions in Check
Our emotions can be beneficial, but if we do not keep them in check, they have the ability to steal, kill, and destroy.
Let's ensure that our posture of mother and wife is being used to bless, uplift, and edify.

S1:E4 Boundaries
The first three episodes helped us to know our purpose, have our priorities in order, and know that when God gives permission, we can still pursue our dreams even though the route may look different.
But now, we need to talk about caring for ourselves, as we cannot pour from an empty cup.
We should have a disciplined prayer life, exercise life, and time apart from our job.

S1: E3 Your Dreams Don't Have to Die...they'll just look different.
As we battle with leaving our work outside of the home, we question whether our degrees and skills were for naught. This is one of the enemy's tactics and it is a lie! Your skills, your education, and your career progression thus far don't have to die with your transition to moving in your purpose. However, they will look different and dare I say, better.

S1:E2 Prioritized
Our God is a God of decency and order. As it relates to the family, the order is God, Husband, Wife, and children. The world would have us believe that the “roles” were for people back then and not for today’s society. But the character of God; that is, the decency and order aspect of Him, hasn’t changed just because the world has. First things first, let's get our priorities in order.
