What does it actually mean to live as a follower of Jesus?
In Matthew 5:8–12, Jesus continues teaching about what it means to be part of the Kingdom of God. As we wrap up our series on the Beatitudes, we look at three defining characteristics of kingdom people: purity, peace, and persistence.
Following Jesus doesn't mean life will always be easy. Jesus makes it clear that His followers may face criticism, opposition, and even persecution. But a life surrendered to Jesus is a truly blessed life, not because everything goes perfectly, but because our hope, identity, and reward are found in Him.
In this message, we explore what it means to have a pure heart, become a peacemaker, pursue righteousness, and faithfully follow Jesus even when the world doesn't understand or celebrate the way we live.

It's Not What You Think | Blessed
What does it really mean to live a blessed life?
In Matthew 5, Jesus gives us a picture of blessing that looks very different from what the world might expect. In this message from the “Blessed” series, we explore the Beatitudes and discover why Jesus calls the poor in spirit, those who mourn, the humble, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, and the merciful “blessed.”
A life following Jesus doesn’t mean we will avoid hardship, disappointment, grief, or difficult seasons. Instead, Jesus teaches that even in our lowest moments, we can experience the presence of God in ways we never have before.
When we are down, God draws near. When we are hurting, He comforts us. When we are hungry for righteousness, He fills us. And when life becomes difficult, we are called to look beyond ourselves and extend mercy, grace, and compassion to others.
Discover what it really means to live a blessed life as a follower of Jesus and a citizen of the Kingdom of God.

Upside down is Right-side up | Blessed
What if everything you thought you knew about being “blessed” was backwards?
In Matthew 5, Jesus begins the Sermon on the Mount with the Beatitudes, teachings that challenge our understanding of happiness, success, blessing, and what it means to live in the Kingdom of God.
Jesus calls the humble, the grieving, the hungry for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, and even those who are persecuted “blessed.” Why? Because the way of Jesus is often the opposite of the way of the world.
In this message, we explore how Jesus flips our culture and religion upside down and invites us to see life through the perspective of His Kingdom. Following Jesus means learning to rethink what the world calls success and discovering that the way of the Kingdom is radically different.
