The Mum behind @nurturinglittlenomads discusses a typical Home Ed day (spoiler - it’s not typical!) and we also, as ever, discuss lots of other Home Ed relevant ‘stuff’ including teaching younger children, those undertaking GCSE’s and dealing with those friends & family who are critical of home education in general.

Keep your eyes peeled as I will be posting a link to the E-books discussed today, once they are published 😊

This is a public episode. Podcast 006 Stephen Kenny

Podcast 006 Stephen Kenny

Fascinated by centuries old techniques, processes and the history of wood block printing, Stephen Kenny established his Letterpress workshop in 2008 in Walthamstow. Stephen - aka ‘The Printer’s Devil’ occupies a room on the first floor of an old Peanut Factory unchanged since the artists moved in in the 1980’s.

He has created a series of prints to counter the noise we hear online, and protest against some of the ridiculous ideologies that the creative world often embraces.

From “lockdown lock-ups”, to an exhibition with other artists at the Not For Sale Gallery in Hackney, called “2 + 2 = 5” Stephen’s work rails against the script.

An unintentional rebel - he holds a mirror up to the creative community and society in general, who often accept ideas without independent thinking.

He has excellent advice for youngsters considering college and university, discusses how to tackle debates with satire, rather than anger - and flips the ‘rabbit hole’ analogy on its head. It’s worth a listen just for that!

You can find Stephen’s work here The Printer’s Devil

and on instagram here The Printer’s Devil Letterpress.

This is a public episode.
