And yeah, much of the time, they make money from it. Some of the time, it's their entire livelihood. It's often entertaining and cute and excellent escapism (I can vouch for all of this!), but is it okay?

YouTubers And Their Stalkers: Scratching The Surface Of YouTuber Fandom
I could truly talk about this forever, but today, we're dipping toes into the world of YouTube creators and their stalkers. As a long-time (literal) subscriber to many YouTube creators, I can say that I've positively benefitted from their influence. But as usual, there's a down side to it. Chances are, every YouTuber out there (especially those making a full-time income from the platform) will have at least one pathological parasocial relationship to share.
