Ep. 17 Kassandra Montag
Kassandra Montag grew up in rural Nebraska and now lives in Omaha with her husband and two sons. She holds a master’s degree in English Literature and her award-winning poetry and short fiction has appeared in journals and anthologies, including Midwestern Gothic, Nebraska Poetry, Prairie Schooner, and Mystery Weekly Magazine. Christine Burright McGuigan is an Omaha native, aspiring sitcom maven, and awkward lady. When not writing, reading, or watching TV (hey, it’s research) she can be found––well, pretty much nowhere because she doesn’t like leaving the house. A 2018 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, she studied screenwriting and creative nonfiction. Attending college as an adult was fulfilling and rewarding, and also a crazy hellacious three years. While going to school and working two jobs, she also somehow found time to be a single mom to her son and yeah, sometimes letting your kid watch six straight hours of Gravity Falls counts as parenting.

Ed Lavallee and Crash Comics Pt. 2
Ed Lavallee is the founder/creator behind Crash Comics. Ed's been writing comics since the late 90's and self-published his debut comic book, Archeon through Digital Webbing in 2002. Revere: Revolution in Silver was the follow-up, originally released in 2006 as a mini-series through Alias, and later as a collected hard-cover through Archaia. Dave is a writer and photographer who lives in Omaha, Nebraska. He is active in the arts and holds a weekly gathering for artists, nerds, and awesome people. He was originally from Wisconsin but seems to have escaped with minimal injuries. When I think of Dave, the word raconteur comes to mind, because he is a consummate storyteller, and it shows as our conversations tangent and devolves in the best of ways. Dave is the author of the novel Evolution and its much-anticipated sequel as well as being the contributing review writer for our own parent site Planet Fiction Productions. In her own words: I was born in the jungles of Thailand, was raised in a small farming village in Iowa, lived in the middle of a Texan desert, and now abide in the Ozarks. I get nerd points for being homeschooled. I get nerd points revoked for being a basketball jock in high school. I get nerd points again for dressing as Aragorn for LOTR midnight showings. I’m trying to become a world-renowned geek. I'm a creative editor for Stonehouse Ink. I'm a producer of enhanced digital books for Noble Beast Books. And I write comics for Motionworks Entertainment. I like writing fairy tales, science fiction, thrillers, and am seriously interested in transmedia storytelling. I like reading and watching well-written adventures. Especially if they're hilarious.
