If your only memory of Jonah is "guy gets swallowed by a giant fish," buckle up...
In this episode of KenRaeB, we're taking a fresh look at one of the Bible's most misunderstood books. Jonah isn't just a reluctant prophet afraid to preach. He's stubborn, sarcastic, selfish, and honestly... kind of a mess. Along the way we'll talk about sailors, giant fish, shady plants, five-word sermons, and the uncomfortable question God leaves hanging at the very end of the book... and no, it isn't "Do all cows go to heaven?"
Because Jonah isn't really about the fish. It's about whether we're okay with God showing mercy to the people we'd rather write off.
Grab your Bible, settle in, and let's see why this four-chapter story might be one of the greatest heart checks in all of Scripture. And if this episode makes you suddenly want to go fishing afterward... well, you're in good company.

Ep. 09 | Not Broke-az, Crazy-az, or Lazy-az
"Wait for your Boaz" is a saying I'm almost positive every unmarried Christian woman has heard before. But rereading the story of Boaz and Ruth made me question... Did Boaz actually make the first move, or could it have been Ruth? In this week's episode, we're discussing a very well known Biblical love story that points to the greatest love story of all time - that of Jesus Christ.

Ep. 08 | Off the Dome
Honestly, this episode is just me rambling because I had ZERO energy to write a whole script. So here are three things I feel like God's been teaching me the past few weeks!
And here's a link to the article I am most proud of... being behind might not be such a bad thing:

Ep. 07 | Why You Should Always Take a Buddy to the Bathroom
This episode of KenRaeB will have you grabbing a bathroom buddy... After 18 years of oppression under Moabite rule, God raises up an unlikely deliverer named Ehud—a left-handed Israelite with a secret weapon, a daring plan, and a mission that ends in one of the most graphic and unforgettable scenes in Scripture. From covert operations and royal intrigue to locked doors and a very suspicious bathroom break, this story has all the twists of a true crime thriller.
But beneath the gore and drama are powerful truths about how God works through our perceived weaknesses, the influences we allow into our lives, and His willingness to meet us in the messiness of our sin.
If you've ever wondered where God is in the strange, messy, and unexpected stories of Scripture, this episode is for you.

Ep. 06 | Donkey on the Edge!
What do Shrek and the Bible have in common? More than you might think.
This week on KenRaeB, we're diving into one of the Bible's most unusual and memorable stories: Balaam and his talking donkey. Desperate for protection, a nervous king hatches a plan to use God's own prophet, Balaam, to curse Israel.
There's just one problem... God has already blessed Israel.
What follows is a wild journey involving bribery, questionable decision-making, angelic roadblocks, a donkey with better spiritual perception than a prophet, and a king who never gets his money's worth.
So grab your favorite onion, settle in, and join us for a story with plenty of layers.

Ep. 05 | Oh, How the Dinner Tables Turn
In this episode of KenRaeB, we’re diving headfirst into the dramatic, and surprisingly ironic, book of Esther — a story packed with frat-boy kings, "beauty contests", awkward dinner parties, super tall gallows, and one hidden queen who changes history. From Esther being chosen as queen among 400 other women to Haman building his own downfall one ego trip at a time to Mordecai literally trading in his sackcloth for king's robes, the book of Esther proves that God can work behind the scenes even when His name is never mentioned once in 10 chapters. It’s irony, chaos, courage, and divine timing wrapped into one unforgettable story.

Ep. 04 | Kansas Redmon!
First video and first interview! Woo! We're moving up to the big leagues!
In this episode, Kennedy interviews a long-time friend, Kansas Redmon. Kansas has an incredible story. After enduring a horrific domestic assault, being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, and undergoing several medical complications including hair loss, chemo sickness, and a double mastectomy, you would think that Kansas would be hopeless... and there was a hot minute when she was. Yet, today, Kansas radiates hope and joy, excited to live the life she had once considered ending. In fact, she even changed her entire career path to serve others, giving them hope in their hardest times.
Be sure to follow Kansas and keep up with her story! God has already done such incredible things in and through her, and that will only continue!

Ep. 03 | Spaghetti, Waffles, and Forbidden Fruit
Based on the title, you might think that this podcast has turned into a food podcast. Nope! We're still talking about the Bible here. If she were a dude, this episode would be over in five minutes. It would go a little something like this: God made man. God made woman for man. Woman gets tricked by snake. Man and woman eat bad apple. God makes plan for Jesus to save world. The end. But she's a woman... so she'll spend this entire episode (the longest one yet) talking all about Adam & Eve.

Ep. 02 | Looking Back Can Make You Salty...
In this episode, Kennedy retells the story of Lot and his family being rescued by two angels from Sodom and Gomorrah right before God destroys the cities... things get a little salty. Why did Lot's wife look back at the destruction? Pride? Sorrow? Guilt? In this episode, Kennedy explores all three options and comes up with the same conclusion each time - just don't turn around!
Oh, and the accent? 100% authentic.
