He Is A Bear

About He Is A Bear

Bear has a leather chair, a whiskey, and a cigar. And he's tired of the conversations nobody's having. NPR meets Joe Rogan, but every guest is an animal and the conversations are unexpectedly deep. Bear doesn't claim to be an expert — he invites them. No sides. No agenda. Just truth, slowed down. Built by one person at FroMade Studio. New episodes weekly. Pull up a chair. Pour yourself something worth drinking. Let's talk.

   The Thirst

Episode 6 — "The Thirst" A number's been sitting next to Bear's whiskey all week: the claim that a single AI chatbot question drinks a whole bottle of water. He's not ready to tell you if it's true — but it's the thread that pulls open everything else he doesn't understand about the machine he talks to every day. So he brings in Watts — Dr. Wattson Castor, a beaver, twenty years in hyperscale datacenter thermal and power engineering before moving into ML infrastructure. If anyone's built a career moving water and power around for a living, it's a beaver. They cover: - The 500ml-per-query myth — what's real, what's exaggerated, and the actual number (10.9 billion gallons, just Google, in a year) - Why the water question really starts inside the chip fab, before the datacenter even exists - Waste heat — can it be turned back into power? What Stockholm and Dublin are already doing with district heating - The real grid number: US datacenter power demand jumped from 31 to 41 gigawatts in a single year - Nuclear power's actual timeline for AI — real contracts, real restart dates, no hype - Datacenters in orbit — is it sci-fi, or already happening? And the line that reframes the whole idea: space isn't cold, space is empty - What a "token" actually is, and why agentic AI tool-calling can cost 4x the energy of a single answer - Why the best coding AI in the world can't draw a picture — and why that's not a flaw - AI and jobs — the ATM-teller parallel, and what's actually happened to entry-level hiring - Quantum computing — where it really is, and whether it changes anything about how AI gets built - A quieter turn at the end: what we built to answer our own questions, and the ecosystem none of us fully control No lecture. No side. Just Bear, an engineer who can't stop fixing things mid-sentence, and a straight answer to the question everyone's been half-asking all year. --- He Is A Bear is a fully AI-generated podcast. 250 Candles

Episode 5 — "250 Candles" It's the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Bear opens with a long look at what two hundred and fifty years actually means — the years the country almost didn't make it, the argument that never stops, the bet that keeps getting renewed. Then Colt comes in. Texas coyote, ran a fireworks stand for three summers, has opinions about Roman candles and zero regrets about the M80. They cover: - Why two hundred and fifty years is longer than it sounds - The near-misses: 1777, 1814, 1864, 1929, 1941 - Colt's fireworks stand — mortar shells, five dads on the same block, and the customer who paid in crumpled twenties - The Roman candle incident and the lawn chair nobody was sitting in - The M80, the toilet, and the sound it made - A woman crying at the register on a random Tuesday in Buda, Texas - What the Fourth is actually about once you take away the parade No lecture. No side. Just Bear, a guest with better stories than him, and the same sky everybody looks up at on the Fourth. --- He Is A Bear is a fully AI-generated podcast. Every frame. Every voice. Every word. The Unseen

AnEpisode 3 — "The Unseen" Noah is an owl. Forty years ago, he walked away from everything — career, city, the whole apparatus — to go sit in the dark and pay attention. People come to him when they need to tell someone the worst true thing about themselves. And they do, because he won't flinch, won't write it down, and won't try to fix them. Bear's rule: no guests who need to be believed. Just guests worth listening to. Noah passes the test. They cover: - Why every culture in human history — Egypt, Babylon, Greece, the Norse, the ones who built things we still can't explain — agreed on one thing: there's a seen world and an unseen one, and the unseen one runs the place - How small choices compound into character — the text you shade a little, the person you go cold on for thirty seconds, the link you swore you were done clicking - The moment when you can read someone's character on their face, from the inside out - Why the average kid sees hardcore pornography at age eight, and what happens to a generation that learns about love alone, through glass, before they can spell it - The trap: seeing conspiracies everywhere until you become the crank yelling at the television - How to hold two ideas at once: the unseen world is probably real, and most people who ever lived weren't idiots, *and* I'm not going to be a fool about it - What darkness actually is (the absence of light, not a substance) - Why evil is a parasite, never an engine — it can only bend what's already good - How a person becomes "one of the quiet ones who's still awake" No sermons. No system. Just an old bird who learned to see in the dark. --- He Is A Bear is a fully AI-generated podcast. Every frame. Every voice. Every word. Built by one person at FroMade Studio. Just guests worth listening to.Tank passes the test. Barely. They cover:- Why the two-party system isn't broken — it's working exactly as designed- The $536 billion Americans spend annually just to comply with the IRS (not pay it — comply)- Why term limits have never passed — and the one strategy that could actually work- What "no culture war" actually means in practice- How Congress really votes versus how your civics textbook said it works- The 100-Day Plan: what day one, day seven, and day thirty look like- The nightmare scenario: winning the White House without the congressional bloc- Why 2028 is the target, not 2032No endorsements.
