2.4 - Dr. Taylor Nichols: Let's talk about policy and the pandemic (current as of Feb. 23rd, 2021)
Dr. Taylor Nichols comes back to fill us in on first hand experience of dealing with a global pandemic and the ever-changing landscape of policy that has occurred due to it. The main take away? We should also continue to question in a logical and testable way to find the answer. Thanks again to Dr. Nichols for joining us and sharing your experience, as well as all the hard work and sacrifice that you and all of your global healthcare colleagues put in over the past year. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app (https://anchor.fm/app) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/healhealthcare/message (https://anchor.fm/healhealthcare/message) Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/healhealthcare/support (https://anchor.fm/healhealthcare/support) This is a public episode. Grahame Grieve is leading the 3rd generation of healthcare interoperability standards with his team on the FHIR project. Welcome to the first episode of the #healhealthcare podcast. We started as a MeetUp group (which incidentally wasn't able to hold their first MeetUp due to COVID-19) and decided to take it a bit further. We hope to bring you some great contact within the healthcare field from clinicians' first hand accounts to patients' experiences of their countries healthcare system and chat with some innovators in the field along the way. In this episode, Erik Renz introduces himself and the initiative. He also discusses some basic statistics which you can hopefully follow so we can use that as a foundation for scientific enquiry in our global situation currently and in future episodes relating to research efforts.
